another wet day here. Probably a good thing. Between work and other work, I needed a break. If it was nice I would be outside with the tiller finishing the garden. Front tine machine. an hour or 2 of that thing really kicks my ***. LOL I do need to get stuff planted ASAP. Looks like rain backs off Sunday, but still chance of storms thru Tues. Wed might be the next time the ground is not too muddy to till.

Rain? WTF is that? Dry as hell here...driest rainy season in history here..

Still pumping out ancient aquifer water, deeper wells all the time. It WILL run out someday if we keep it up...Very scary ..
Well, you do have a large ocean nearby and a perfect environment for solar power and wind power, so I'm betting a few dozen desalination plants are going to wind up being the eventual solution.

Well funny you mentioned that. We, the local government, built a Modern Desail plant. Was touted as a inexpensive way to get fresh water. Well, to Desail ocean water, it takes a huge amount of power. Electricity. So "we" made a deal with Edison to power it with a dedicated power line to the San Onofre Nuclear power plant. Perfect. right? Well, after the plant was 3/4 built, San Onofre was decommissioned! Now "we" cant run the Desail plant, it cost too much!!!!!!!!!
Short sighted government at work...

Solar is going like crazy here. Huge arrays. Covering large open parking lots, with covered parking with solar on top...

Well at least they are not building more places to use the water I guess.
Don't know about that, Just by my place, must be 400 units going in as I type. Right down the over crowded street! F'ing traffic is just CRAZY!!! Keep building housing but no road improvements, except right in front of the developments..

That's typical everywhere. Not right.
Just how it is. They just tore down a popular restaurant and mini mall in my neighborhood to build expensive condos. 200 units.
Uh traffic? Parking ?

Cool temps,crazy winds.
Fires arent going to calm down yet. Maybe rain tomorrow.
