I was all set to buy some 15x8 magnum 500's from Wheel Vintiques until I read about some chrome quality issues. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks Kim.
I bought a set of 15x7 magnum 500's (maybe 15 years ago?) made by Specialty Wheels when they were in Sandy Oregon. Awesome wheel quality, but I've heard that the business was sold.

Seems like the older reproduction wheels were top notch, and the new one's not so much.

I have seen some issue's with the chrome quality online here and there, but I couldn't direct you to anything specific.
Do a Google search for "Magnum 500 chrome issue's" and see what comes up.
It seems most that had problems with it were daily drivers that were out in the weather a lot.

Chrome in general isn't as good as it used to be.

Bumpers on my 50 year old cars that have sat outside the entire time look better than the chrome on my 2005 vintage motorcycles that spent 3 Florida "winters" inside a shed.

I don't have those bikes anymore, but the chrome was pitting in 2008.
