So my son got tired of not having cup holders, so he made his own center console with cup holders and a pocket area to put stuff in.
He bought some MDF, vinyl, steel cup holders, and foam for the project. He measured between the bucket seats and took many measurements of the transmission tunnel to get the right curve since, as you all know, the transmission tunnel isn't centered.
He was going to attempt to sow the vinyl himself, but instead we opted to get it professionally covered. We dropped off the center console and materials at a local upholstery shop to do the the work. It cost $70.00 bucks. A little expensive I thought, but the finished product is pretty nice. I'm sure it was more than a couple hours worth of work, so maybe the cost was justified.
Anyway... I'll post of the pictures of the progress and finished product.
