Fitting this trans in here was as easy as 1,2,3,4.
Cut the small u shaped piece of the tbar crossmember, fold the seam in the tunnel flat. Modify stock 904 support bar and add angle iron, reinstall. BOOM!

Decided to remove the rear cover today to verify the rear since 1. I didnt before I threw it under there, and 2. i have the gas tank out so eait's easier. Definitely looks like they had just got done rebuilding it before I got it. Although the is a little noise with it m, he described it as a whine, it I'll have to look into it further. May need a new set of carrier bearings. Fluid was very clean and clear though. Definitely a traklok with 3.55 richmond gears, 39 teeth on the ring and 11 on the pinion.

Pretty sure we got the cylinder 3 runner clearance issue worked out with the power steering today. Also ordered the walbro 400lph drop in fuel pump I needed to get this fuel tank in place. As well as a new set of carrier bearings from doctor duff for my 8 1/4.

Well we got quite a few things done, acquired this weekend.

Driverside manifold modified to provide more clearance on the ps fitting. Should be good to go now.

Picked up a B&M Z-Gate shifter from a friend of mine for free.99. Have to buy the two cover pieces, but 40 is better than 200.

I also picked up a driveshaft from a yard that just so happened to be the right length I needed for $40. No i just need to clean it up and throw in some new ujoints and shes good to go there.

I sold some injectors I had and got enough to buy my GPA-6 400lph, fuel pump assembly ordered. Should have that by Wednesday and I got word the ECU flash went well and I should have that in hand Wednesday as well.

Fuel pump came in.

And installed. Waiting on some more fittings and one before I can finally throw it back in there for good.

Also finished ceramic coating the manifolds. Havent fully decided if ceramic coat is enough or if I'd like to wrap them too. Will most likely heat cycle them on the car because I dont have a spare oven just laying around.

looks great,

While a lot of us coat the headers for corrosion protection and beauty, amazingly ,the original intent of the ceramic coating is to dissippate heat........wrapping them (holding in the heat) negates that benefit......but damn, they look good.

is that a gloss black?

It is a spray on ceramic coating, still have to heat them to make it cure properly. They're going to go on without any wrap first and be cured on the motor seeing as I "should" be firing it up this weekend. Next week at the latest. It is a stin clear coat on them. I just took the picture very shortly after spraying them.

Here's how it looks with them on the motor.

And I've had some crap luck lately, about to replace about the second windshield in my truck since memorial day.

But I had some luck of the Irish today. I went to have my $40 driveshaft shortened and new ujoints put in and he quoted me one price to do it and told me today he would have everything to get it done for that price. Well I showed up to do it and he didnt have everything to make my scrapyard driveshaft work, and instead of telling me to kick rocks, he made me an entire new driveshaft and and threw in new spicer ujoints for the original price he quoted me. MIND BLOWN!!!! 57 1/2 center to center, Fits like a glove.

1/4npt to -6 fittings can in for the fuel pump assembly. So I got those thrown in.

Also met someone to pick up this 04 z06 radiator for $50. Ended up getting it, the upper radiator hose and a brand new 4" k&n filter for the intake for that price.

My trans cooler also showed up but I wasnt here to get it so I get to wait till Monday.

Got the other radiator hose worked out. Searched the wall of hoses at advance and found one I thought I could make work. Sure enough, I cut off 3 or 4 inches and wala.

Also got the b&m megashifter put in place, the selector lever came in the mail so i got the cable looped around the trans and connected as well. Still have to drill and mount the bolts for the baseplate, but it's in the right spot.

Also got my 90 degree fitting for the powersteering in the mail and guess what.....it clears everything by about 1/4" all around. Still going to try and figure out a shield to keep that heat off. But now I can finish the ps line and connect them both. Crisis averted.

Got the driveshaft painted with some high temp aluminum paint and then installed. Angle looks pretty good after install.

And I got my Derale trans cooler and my ECU back in the mail. It had the vats removed and a manual trans tube thrown on there so I can start it up and get it to the dyno or street tuned. I ordered my 2 12" slim fans, 4"Intake, all my lines and fittings that I need(I think), new thermostat housing and thermostat(i broke the other one y accident) and my plug wires.

Are you working on yours currently or just driving? There are many of this body style flying around, so I figured I'd do something a little different. Hopefully it all works as good as I hope it will.
