Ok I bought bunch of engine / car parts from a guy doing swap, it was 318 that had a bad build, resulted in flat cam cracked / burned pistons. I need miscellaneous parts for a build I was doing including the adjustable rocker arms. Well thought I had lucked out when I found out heads were 2.02 but had a ported set I was using. Well went to put rockers on my heads and thought WTF they won't line up then I realize they have a bunch of offset on one side, and then look at head and realizing that I believe I got super luck and have a set of TA 340 6-pack heads. They are a U casting and here are pics of the rockers and pushrod holes.

I know a T/A & one AAR owner looking for single heads to fix their engines.

The adjuster screws are from a 273, but the rocker arms & heads look right.

Only valuable to someone looking for them to restore a sixpack motor..other then that they're just 2.02 heads nothing special..

Agreed unless restoring or porting and using the extra meat just a set pf 2.02, they were on a mild 318 build guy didn't even know they were 2.02, thought that was the bonus, then bummed when rockers didn't fit then I started thinking why, I've had stamped, cast, aluminum rockers, X and W2's, but hadn't seen a set of these. Just cool to have a set.

The heads are easier to find than the rocker arm set.

Rocker set could bring 1200 pretty easy.

yeah , try and buy just about anything for a B body and you'll find out exactly how people exploit parts.
it's how the hobby works these days
If you can afford a B body, you can afford to be exploited
:poke:

Oh so I guess its ok to screw people over on parts prices:rolleyes::rolleyes:..

damn right.. hell if the rockers are really worth 1200 alone then thats a good amount towards a stoker kit or some eddy heads....

The REAL silly part of it is, with the valve covers on, no one will have a clue what type of rocker is on there. LOTS of high dollar T/As and AARs don't have the correct head/rocker assy on them.

Before I would buy a HIgh Dollar AAR or TA ....you would be taking the valve covers off.....pretty simple...in fact if you remove the oil cap and peak in....you can tell if it has the correct rockers on it....and if it does not have the correct rockers...then it does not have the correct heads on it...
