Hi All

I have done away with my slot mags because they didn't look aggressive enough, and I have just fitted Cragar V-5's - brilliant price from Summit as well.
These are 10 x 15 rear with 295/50 x 15 and fronts are 8 x 15 with 195/50 x 15.
I have Mopar Performance springs on the rear so the tyres don't come close to catching, even with a trunk full.
Cheers
Kev

I think they are Super Stock springs, I have the Mopar Performance part number somewhere, I'll dig it out. I think they are KYB shocks I have on the back.

Curious what they are super stock need longer shocks if you have the part number for the shocks I would like to know

Careful, I have noticed recently the KYB shocks are to long for some applications, notably on my ‘03 Dodge Dakota. Also they are street shocks that do not work great with S/S springs.

Which the length doesn’t hurt with S/S springs.

Use B body shocks. There longer.

@KevC With 3.75 back spacing, The fronts look pushed out a bit. Also, what tires are those?
PS, we could use a side shot of the wheels/car.

That thing looks badass. :D
What tires are you running on the rear? I don't recognize that tread pattern.

Not to imply that these are necessarily and better but have you ever looked into Avon CR6ZZ? We can't get them too easily in North America but they're supposed to be pretty good 15" rubber.

Then again, they may not offer the steamroller sizes like you're running. :D

EDIT: The do offer 295/50/15!

15x8’s up front with a 195/50/15 tire? Is that size right?

A 195/50/15 shouldn’t be mounted on anything wider than a 15x7. That tire is seriously stretched on that rim. Not to mention that’s only a 22.7” tall tire.

I get the rear rims and tires. Not my style, but I get it. The fronts just don’t make any sense at all.

I love how you want to show the car with the wheels but none of your pictures shows the wheels worth a snot.

**** man , they think your fronts are bad , I have 205 / 75 / 15's mounted on 15x7 centerlines with a 3 3/8 backspace.
your fronts make perfect sense

So, you think that’s worse huh?

Well, 205/75/15’s are perfectly fine mounted on 15x7” rims. No fit problem there at all.

Now, they’re 27” tall, they’re probably designed as a light truck tire, and you don’t have enough backspace but I’m guessing you solve all of those problems with a 4x4 front ride height.

But your combination at least doesn’t toss the manufacturer’s recommendations out the window.

no 4x4 front ride height. the funny thing is I had to use starting fluid and a lighter to blow the tire beads on to the rim just to get them to mount because the section width of the tires are like 4 1/2 inches. I doubt Michelin recommends any kind of **** like that.

The section width on a 205/75/15 is 8", and the tread width is 5". So if the section width is 4.5" they're not 205's.

And if you're running 27" tall tires it's a 4x4 front height because they won't clear otherwise. Maybe you don't think it's a 4x4 front height, but it sure as heck is.

holy 4X4 look..

the rear i could live with for that 70's look.. but those fronts need more backspace in my opinion.

My thought was "4x4" when I saw it, like I mentioned earlier, but maybe the new "in" fad with "stance" is to look that way, who knows.

you should have your own TV show. I would also like to see you put a 205 75 15 on an 8" rim and call it good while bashing the OP's tire choice , you can't have it both ways. if I were to show you what the tires are on , it's definitely far from a 4x4. and they are not 27" tall. and yes I ordered them and know what size they are . your just full of yourself smart one.

This is very simple. If your tires aren’t 27” tall, they aren’t 205/75/15’s. If the section width isn’t roughly 8”, then they aren’t 205/75/15’s. And you said you put them on 7” wide rims, which is fine. They don’t belong on 8” rims either, and I never said that was ok, so there’s no conflict there. They’re both stupid ideas.

So let’s look at what 205/75/15 actually means, since you don’t seem to know. It’s not just some meaningless description, those are actually the dimensions of the tire. 205 is the width, 75 is a description of the sidewall height, and 15 is the rim diameter.

205mm = 8.07”

That’s the width of the tire. Not 4.5”, no reason for any redneck YouTube fireballs to mount those on a 7” rim

75 is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the width. 75% in this case

So 205 x .75 = 153.75mm = 6.05”

Now, that’s only 1 sidewall, so double it and add the diameter of the rim

6.05 x 2 = 12.1” + 15” = 27.1”

That’s the height of the tire.

So, if you’re 205/75/15’s aren’t 27” tall or 8” wide, well, they aren’t 205/75/15’s. Pretty easy right?
