last night went for a ride whit the duster

at first I notive the wideband gage was gouffy ( autometer 4379 )

AutoMeter Ultra-Lite Digital Gauges 4379

but the engine was cold and didnt let the time at the senser to heat up
so didnt care much about it

after maybe 20 minute of highway driving a took a look at the gauge
and saw a 17.0 reading !!!!!!!!!!!

I know the carbs is ok and have the right jet in it
thats the carb I went to the dyno with so ...

playded with the gaz pedal a little to see if the reading change
it change but about 30 second later and ounce again with wird number

if I let the engine idle and play with gas its wird all cind of number showing up

whats wrong ?
do I need an other senser?
do I need to buy the autometer senser ?? pretty costly just for a senser !!!

thanks bob

Where is the O2 mounted, how far from the port, how long is the pipe after the O2, do you have any header gaskets leaking?

the bung was weld maybe 3 years ago right after the headers flange
alwais work fine accept lst night
doesnt seem to have an headers leak
and its a full exhaust system with tail pipe and every thing

What is this mean?
"if I let the engine idle and play with gas its wird all cind of number showing up"

Recalibrate the sensor. My Innovate wife and needs to go thru a calibration every now and again. I’m not sure about an autometer but I imagine it would be the same concept.

Try what dusted said about recalibration, then start looking for connection problems in the wiring for the O2 sensor.
Unplug and reconnect the sockets on your wiring.
Also make sure none of the wiring has been burned or worn through.

try to recalibrate like the guys recommend. bung should allways welded in between 10 and 2 oclock, waterspray from the exhaust gases kill them. don't heat the sond during cranking. never run it without heating. If recalibrating doesn't work, replace it. Follow the installation as i request.

I usually don't have time between 10 and 2, let alone recalibrating the wife, which would be man's nr.1 dream ofcourse.

You can't do a Free Air calibration most econo/hobby Widebands ,like your Autometer. So that is not an option for you
