I am currently running a Holley 125 HP and its failing on a regular basis. Its 2 years old and maybe 300 street miles on it. The local dealer said he has 12 of them to send back. I am screwed at this point, i sent Holley an email explaining what is going on, and have asked for a lower half kit and will repair it myself. If they refuse i will use the pump for fuel transfer and thats all.

I want to buy the Mallory 110 pump preset at 7 PSI, no regulator required. Who here has run one or is currently running one? Noise is not an issue, i want continuous use and reliability, with no return line either. Dead head is fine.

The Mallory stuff before MSD ended up with it (through Holley) was good stuff. Now I'm not sure. What few things I've purchased that say Mallory on them since they were bought out have been good.

I just detest MSD and anything with that name on it.

Yeah i have never owned anything MSD other than the odd coil. I had a Crane digital 6 ignition in my Camaro, was a great box.

WOW i must be the only guy left wanting this pump? What pump is everyone running these days then?

I bought a Holley blue pump at a swap meet for $5, I think I lost in that deal.....I ran a Carter and even let it pump the tank dry once, and it ran overnight dry! Still worked but killed the battery. P4600HP w/7psi min pressure. 100GPH and built like a tank (actually it was adapted from military use).

I ran that carter, it came off the car the same day. Could not keep up with the motor. Which was a shame, as Carter makes a great pump

Are you sure it was the 4600? That's a billy badass pump. They make SEVERAL that look exactly alike and they are all different ratings.

Yes the 4600 HP. I think the fuel pressure dropped to 3 psi with a 6an feed and line to the carb.

Whoa, that aint right! Wonder if you got a dud or if the vanes were stuck. Same rotary vane design as the Holley Red/Blue/Black pump.

When you do the fuel calculation, i only require 44 Gallons per hour. So i would think a 110 pump would fit the bill. My engine builder's wife street car, has a 625 HP 355 SBC with crossram dual carbs, and its fed by an old holley Blue pump.

This is a self regulated pump Kim, no external regulators. Besides this is a wide spread problem on this holley hp 125 pump. The dealer has over a dozen failed ones to send back. must of been a bad batch poor made in China quality control.

I have had issues with anything Mallory right from the early 80s up. No more for me. I have had good luck with the Holley blue. But then u need a regulator or take the spring out of ur 125 HP. Is it called the black pump? Kim
