Is anyone else offering a flywheel with tone ring to use with 833 trans now that it looks like Magnummopar is done? i want to put a factory injected 5.9 in my 69 4spd Dart.

Yes. You want aluminum or steel?
American powertrain has steel. I have aluminum.

Just using a stock motor, so probably go steel. I looked on American Powertrain's site, but didn't see that their flywheels had the tone ring

Factory Dakota wheel?

There's not a factory wheel for this application, to my knowledge.

Op, call American power train and ask. I KNOW they offered them, I almost bought one but went with aluminum instead

Heard back from American Powertrain, they can supply the flywheel I need, it's just not listed on their website. Thanks

Bringing back a thread since I had a similar question.

So.... is American Powertrain the ONLY source for a steel 5.9 Magnum flywheel that will bolt up to my 833 4 speed?

It has to be 130 tooth and 10.5 inches right?

I am most likely going carburetor only so I do not necessarily need the tone ring, so I wondered if there were other vendors out there that supplied the steel flywheel without the tone ring.

Also, I'm assuming that a flywheel for a 5.2 and a 5.9 are different? I guess that's something to watch out for.

Thanks!

Check your engine balance...
My 318 magnum stroker motor takes a external balance flywheel
I went with a Centerforce 700460 flywheel for external balance magnum engines 130t/5.9

Did you ever pick up a fly wheel for your 360 magnum?

I haven't gotten around to it yet. I did pick up a spare flywheel for the test stand though...but I need to make that too. lol I also need a carb intake like an Air Gap or Air Gap clone.

Joe, quit farting around the forums and get on it! We demand results!

Oops, I meant to say bell housing. I don't know why I said spare flywheel. I still need a flywheel.

Ugh, why did Chrysler have to change the balancing between LA 360's and .5.9 Magnums. It's cheap and easy to find a 130 tooth LA flywheel.

I need to sell off some parts so I can afford to get a flywheel.
