THE NEW TRICK FLOW HEAD!

Yes, Eddi at Trick Flow came through for me, and I will have it displayed at the All Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle this weekend . For those wondering, no, it has not been released yet, but this gives folks who haven't seen it yet a chance to see it firsthand. I will be busy with the show, so replies on here will be scarce, but if you have the opportunity, come to the show and ask away. We will be at locations A9-A10, just inside Gate 2. It's time to burn that kitchen pass you've been saving for a special occasion.:D

See you there!

oh, very nice...can you say anything regarding position of the rocker shaft, is it different, better than other brand heads? I like these, can´t wait for real world data.

Michael

The heads, from the pictures look better that the eddies by a long way. I say that without being able to measure the bowls and get a close up look at the valve job.

They look pretty nice, albeit rougher than I believe the final iteration will be.

I called on pricing a while back.
If i remember right, they were 1099 each with roller cam springs complete with all good hardware.Little cheaper with flat tappet or hydralic cam springs.
I plan on using a set on a zero deck flattop 418 shortblock i have laying around in wait

I am waiting for the release, I am going to get a set as soon as I can.
Thanks

So they aren't going to offer an I ported empty head? What if I don't want their porting and valves and springs?
It's the same way with the big block heads. Fully CNC ported, but after they are out for a while, you can buy them bare. Honestly, I have no problem with the valves and springs. Ferrea and PAC are higher quality than you will get in an Eddy or offshore head.

Looks like a great out of the box head. Not like the Edelbrock versions that need to be sent to the speed shop to be straightened out.

I'd still rather pick my components myself. And I'd much rather do my own porting. Hey mike if you get a chance can you ask if they will sell bare casting with no port work and just the seats and guides installed? I don't even want a valve job on them. Also, if they are open to it, see if they will give you a price.

I am anxious to see the flow numbers.

They are posted around the internet. Somewhere around 280 @ 1/2 inch, 290@ .600 and 300 @ 700 if memory serves.
Trick flow calls it a “ street port” so i dont know that i would call it fully cnc ported.
190cc head

I'm curious to see the real flow numbers instead of their advertised numbers, but I understand that everybody gets different numbers on different benches so I'd really like to see a side by comparison with a well ported Edelbrock RPM head and one of the Trick Flow heads on the same bench and the day, with same guy running the test.
Also, can't wait to see some builds with stock stroke and bigger strokers.
I'm starting to save pennies to get a set when I can.

At the end if the day this head is going to be way to small for a 4 inch crank motor, just like an eddie is. I had a pretty cookie cutter 10.70ish 3350 pound flat tappet eddie motor and it weezed looking for the stripe about 150 feet out.
Even W2/W5 stuff is barely adequate.
I dont want to get a license again and all that entails, so i look at these heads as probably really nice castings that i can get to run in the bottom 10’s with and expect to be trouble free doing so.

I wish others could understand what you understand.

I just want them for a street/strip application. I suspect many of these heads will be sold to guys with the same plan, and I fully expect them to perform nicely in that application. If I was building a dedicated race car, I would probably go with a set of Edelbrock Victor heads.
