Plate to seal air cleaner to hood. What have you made?

I am going to build a plate that will attach to the air cleaner base plate and seal to the underside of the hood where the Dual Snorkel scoop is cut in. I cut out the triangle shaped piece underneath the scoop to allow air in. It is on a 74 360 powered Duster. If you have built one or have pictures of a nice one, please share!

I used an air cleaner base from a 1969 Camaro SS. I think it had the L88 hood. I cut the bottom of it and used an old coffee can where it goes onto the carburetor. I said "old" coffee can because they were really thick not like the new ones and fit the carburetor inlet perfect. I just figured the height I needed fit the parts together and brazed them. I then bead blasted the base and painted it with rustoleum truck bed coating. Someday day I will make a nicer hood pad but that will be a winter project. The way I cut the hood the rain water goes through the back of the scoop and never get into the engine. I have been caught in some heavy downpours and have never has a problem with water getting into the engine.

Oh and one other thing, you will need to re-jet your carb. Mine went real lean in the top end with the secondaries pulling in the extra air.
 
Years ago i saw a setup on a Hang 10 Duster in Mopar Muscle that looked so factory it was ridiculous and simple too.
The Googles is letting me down trying to find the exact car but from what I remember the guy took his factory single snorkel like this one

And just swapped out the larger factory lid for one much smaller. It looked to be right off a B-body "AirGrabber" setup like this guy:

He then just added a bit of weatherstrip arounf the perimeter of his factory air cleaner and added a new "360" sticker to the smaller lid
 
no pics here of mine. same scoop as hellrats. had a repop'd fiberglass 6-pak air-cleaner base. cut the middle out and fabbed a 4bl base for it. then used a 2in air cleaner spacer to raise it over the carb linkage and the factory style gasket sealed perfect to the hood. was able to cut a hole as big as the scoop. worked awesome

I'm going to try this. Damned if I could find just what I want locally but here's an 18" diameter stainless bowl from the wife's kitchen. I'll attach it to the air cleaner base and sort out some type of seal for the top.
