Trying to get wipers working. Here is a pic of the switch and motor. Are they a proper pair?
The switch has a resistor and so does the wiper motor. It that a correct match?

That looks like my 2-speed wiper motor and switch. But I'm not that familiar with the 3-speed version to compare.

That is a 2spd motor, and looks like my 2spd switch, but I can't say for sure on the switch.

I did a quick search and none of the 2spd switches I saw had the resister on it. On the pictures I saw, the only ones with resisters were the 3spd switches.

Click the switch through its ranges to see how many positions there are. If there are 3 positions, it should be a 2 spd (off, Low, and High). If it has 4 positions, it should be a 3spd switch (Off, Low, Middle, & High).

I did that and it clicks like a 2 speed. Off, click 1, click 2.
I see the same as you, I see the typical 2 speed switches with no resistor built into them. The connector under the dash seems original to and my resistor switch connects correctly.
I looked on this forum about how to test the motor. I would think just putting 12 volts to it, and make sure it has ground and it should spin if it works. I probably need to pull it out and wire it up with the switch though, and just make it work there them re-install it.

That is a 3 spd wiper. They lay "flat/parallel" with firewall.
2spds stick or point out. I dont see a resistor on your motor.
Part #'s on switch?

Not in 1967. The pre-68 2spd wiper motors sit parallel to the fire wall like that. I was confused by that too when I first bought my '67. That is a 1967 2spd wiper motor. Here is mine.

Cool, it looks like 67 2spd could be both ways? I had a 2spd from 67 that pointed out. Mine is a 67 3spd and plays flat.

Ok, guess that means my motor and switch line up. Itake it your switch does not have the white resistor. I wonder what the resistor is about if the motor assemble already has the resistor built in.

Lot of good information on this site about wiper motors in general, though I didn't see a lot on 2spd wiper motors, more on 3spd. Kim from this site is currently rebuilding my '69 3spd wiper motor.

Welcome to Passion4Mopars - Because Mopars Are My Passion Too

You could probably send her a picture and see if she can confirm what you have
Kim replied back already and confirmed the motor is a 3 speed/variable but didn't know the switch off hand. She asked for its part number so I just sent her that.
Sounds like I just need to get another switch (bought 2 so far) but get a 3 speed switch, then just re-wire it all for the 3 speed setup. She said if 4 wires go to the wiper motor, its a 3 speed.
Thats great customer service and I haven't even bought anything, yet..

Confirmed on having a 2 speed switch. So I'll just do as planned, if my motor is good, I'll get a 3 speed switch and re-wire it all since the stock stuff looks a little bad.
Thanks everyone for all your help!

As I understand it some years had a drain plug and some years didn't. And I was wondering this exact same thing myself. That's why I was asking the question has anybody seen a weight set up that wasn't near the drain plug and has a drain plug in a different area and the weights in a different area? I just haven't?

A bit late but did anyone mention how you can tell which switch you have by how many positions it has?

Could you tell me how the wires are connected on the motor? Like whats on each spade connector and what goes to the motor, and if anything is doubled up on a connector? Its just hard to tell from the pic and I'm getting a 3 speed switch soon and just want to re-wire my setup to be just like yours.
Thanks!

Sorry meant to post pics earlier. Gimme 5

Your looking for where they enter the fuse block?
No, more on the motor side. I see the red, green and brown coming into the motor, along with a black one. The black one looks like it goes to the top spade, and then I see what looks like another black one connecting to the bottom spade. Where does the other end of the bottom black spade go to, ground or the motor?
