I spotted one at the dealership when I was Ram hunting. Very nice! Sticker price was a little high for me lol.

My wife has a 2017 and she loves it, pretty easy on fuel, her's is a stick shift.
 
What engine and trans?

Looks a lot better than the last gen Compass. I can understand the range rover comment.

I'm getting a fairly consistent 33.5 average MPG in mixed driving with my '15 Renegade 1.4T 6 speed.
 
Not really sure, I don't drive it is a 4cly stick shift, 2.4L comes to mind.
I did not even ride with her when she test drove it.
Its hers, she payed for it, I just went along to make sure the dealership did not screw her over.

Its the 2.4 with the 9 speed transmission. So far MPG isn't that impressive but I expect it to improve a fair bit. Traffic really sucked round here yesterday so that would have brought it down. Smiles per gallon is excellent though.
