I got a new project in the works. This is a 68 Valiant Signet Post Car. It is pretty much all there minus a couple pieces of trim.

This car will be back halved New K Frame, I am keeping the torsion bars

This will be a 3/4 chassis car on the same level as the Street Outlaw Cars. YES we want to go after them!.

This car target will be 4.0 index or quicker in the 8th. It will be a race chassis 14 pt cage, etc.

I will post all progress here. Once we get to cutting on the car.... It should be a full roller in 3 weeks.

Sounds like fun lots of pic’s please

It'll be great seeing another Mopar in the SO/no prep scene...unfortunately with LS power the Chevy guys will chalk it up as a "win" for their camp.

I'm always for Mopar in Mopar action.
Sad to say that building a bow tie is way cheaper than Mother Mopar.
Good luck are you sure a Naughty Nova isnt WAYYYY better to drop a LS in?
LOL!

Only based on the economics of Chevy engines. But what do Chevy guys turn to when they want the ultimate in hp potential? The answer is HEMI

Understood, I've said many times that if I was young and starting with nothing I'd have a fox body with a turbo junk yard ls.

As far as the really fast guys go there is very little factory stuff no mater what make on them, especially the power plant.

The LS won't be real competitive against the Hemi and 481X engines.

Edit: I should add if them OP is wanting to compete with the big tire cars.

Not sure that LS will have enough steam, nor will the car be light enough, nor will T bars be workable at these levels, nor will 4.0 cover any better than the bottom 5...lol.
But I'm game to watch you try!

Basically just give up now....

Ha ha, **** that. Build it and run it, have fun.
Simple as that!
Looking forward to see what you do.

Good luck!

Did you ever buy those gen3 hemi blocks and heads, think you posted it in your scamp build? if you did why not use the hemi over the ls, I know you can build the headers for it for turbos.
Either way looking forward to the build.

This will be a 3/4 chassis car on the same level as the Street Outlaw Cars

Will you be running a 3/4 race cam too?

I say if u got that kind of $$ , build a big cubic inch all aluminum stage 2 type hemi, aftermarket front end, and a pro rear set up. Hooking up on their "no prep" tracks will be the big deal.
And don`t talk and act like they do, I haven`t watched them in over a year because they act so talk and act so stupid ! Where I come from as a kid , they would have all got there *** stomped !

We just finished up an LS Conversion on a 65 Malibu. It was a 1980's race car put back on the street. It gots some tire!
