What year are the blocks? What did they come out of?
From the serial numbers, they are both from fairly late build '71 model year cars built at Hamtramck.
So the actual casting date on the side of the blocks would probably be late '71 to early '72 as a guess.

Ok, thx. Looking for a 67, 68 or 69 block, standard bore that's rebuildable. Preferably a 68 for a 69 Dart project.

I think these people are looking to reunite them to correct cars, not sell them to people for builders. Go look through the mechanical parts section.

If you find a 1972 casting with a 1971 VIN, it has been re-stamped since that would not be possible from the factory.

1969, 70 or 71 casting is possible for a '71 car, but never a '72 casting in a '71.

0ne of the 340's i have has the cast date is may of 69 but has a 71 vin with a 3-31-71 assy date.so you never know.maybe a leftover?

You're right.
My bad.
I meant late '70 or early to mid year '71 as an actual casting date.
