I was just wondering if anybody else this time of year just is very depressed about not being able to ride your snowmobile? For a couple months at least and haven't rode it for a few months at least.
braaAAP!

Piss off....
Hate em. Was ok until i ended up having to go out in -40 to haul fire pits and picnic tables out to remote campsites in the park.
Then i grew to despise snowmobiling. Too many long cold days. Worst was running across open water. Only way through a narrow channel. Boss says try it with an empty sleigh first, if it works than take one table across at a time.
Water was 3’ deep and hole was 50 feet long if that.

Yeah what ToolJunkie said, and times 2.
That dang sport took a year outta my life. Doctor said my lateral ligament in my right knee was tore and the lump in my butt cheek was the proof. Said I would limp for the rest of my life,as he drained the blood out of my knee for about the sixth time, and that I would have no stability in that knee, ever. That plick effectively cursed me.
But he didn't know God's power.
That knee is today, my good knee. Not that the other is failing. The "gimpy" leg does whatever the good one does and I stopped limping in the early part of the second year after the accident. No lasting effects whatsoever. And that was about 20 or more years ago.
But I'm not so foolhardy as to tempt the devil again. I'm keeping my boots out of the stirrups.

Braaap....is for dirtbikes..4 strokes to be specific...

2 strokes are Wingadingding....

And what are your dirtbikes made from then?
Somebody had to bite.....

Well DUH ! Dirt !

Refined iron ore to be exact... with a bit of molybdenum thrown in for good measure.
And aluminum from the dirt.... And plastic refined from oil found in the dirt....

That is why they call them Dirt Bikes !

I sold mine 3 years ago, 2 sleds and trailer. I've missed them all 3 winters. Too busy, too many projects, snowmobiling was too short lived of the year so I sold 'em. Some day I'll get back on 'em. :)

Just sold my last two machines. Had 11 at one time, and a shop to maintain them. One for everyone in the family. Wedge chassis Polaris, the shoebox of snowmobiles. Still have two trailers though.

This is one of my favorite shots my wife got of me so far. that was two years ago up at Paulina Lake. The night before it was -18 degrees and that afternoon when we were playing with the sleds it was 2 degrees. It was really a fun sunny day...

^^^LOL I just noticed my body looks about a foot-and-a-half long? I think my coat is all shoved up or something?
