I'm looking to get a return spring set up for twin 4500s.
All I see is this.

Quick Fuel 49-3QFT Throttle Return Spring Kit For Square Flange 4 BBL Carburetors

Im afraid it will be in the way of the bell cranks for the twin carbs.

Anyone used this on twin 4500s?

I would like 2 springs per carb as I do not want this SOB sticking wide open and once I pass over the acellerator pump cams things get a little sticky..

Thanks for all the help.

You can hook one spring to each front wheel and one to each carburetor and then it'll get Tighter and Tighter as you drive that way you'll never have a stuck throttle..

Actually I just took mine back up one to one instead of progressive and I took off one of my Springs. The front carburetor had two Springs and the rear carburetor had one string but when I hooked them all up on to one arm it's just too much spring.

it was nice having the second carburetor that came on later on two strings and heavier cuz you could feel it in the pedal when it was going to come on.

A pair of 4500s is a lot of return spring built into the carbs already. Too much more return spring and your going to have to beef up all your throttle assembly. What you have to do is carefully set the angles of the arms to avoid an overcenter situation. And try to use the large hole on the throttle arm with the bushing to gain leverage cause you will need it.

I've been working on the linkage but by the books we need return springs.

Hangnout, this is our engine that was gonna run the mechinal injection. Our engine builder decided the mech injection was to much for any street driving so he decided on twin 1050s..

Thank you sir, you have been a huge help to us.

Can you expand on this?

A spring to each lever arm and the other end of the spring to carb base?

If all else fails I will just make something but buying what we kneed is way easier and at some point cheaper.

Wa-zing!!! Right over your head.
I'll try again and type slower and more clear.. put a spring from each front tire to each carburetor and they'll get Tighter as the wheels go round.
