** NEW ** Trick Flow LA cylinder heads introduced at SEMA

-
What is the deal about intakes now? I just got a Weiand 8007 dual plane. More and more it looks like everything I have is becoming incompatible with these heads :BangHead:

Nov - Dec...I don't know if I can wait that long....

Worst case, redrill the intake to fit. What’s the big deal? None.

Buy an Indy intake and modify it if needed and if you have the extra money port in now or as an update

I am on a budget with this motor, plus it is just a street cruiser. I am not going to be above 400hp. I want the dual plane for the lower torque. Is there a better spread bore dual plane to use?

I've got a monster build in progress as well for the car in my avatar.

For the limited goal you have with the street cruiser i see no reason the intake you have wont work

The only dual plane intakes I know of are the OEM & the Performer,Indy has a dual plane, not a spread bore.

Any news on the LA heads???

I asked if they were still coming to market. This is the response I got from Oct, 5th.

'Hello,

They are scheduled for release in late November early December.
And Defiantly bringing to Market,

Thanks,

I guess it sounds like a lot of people don’t want them to come to market, yet they are bringing them anyway?

This is going to be a VERY nice head for a lot of guys. It will surely be 10 times better than the crap Edelbrock has been pushing out the door the last several years. If they aren't released yet there is a reason for it and Trick Flow will fix it and move on. They will have a tent set-up at The Halloween Classic next week and I will stop by SEVERAL times to bs and run my fingers through some heads. LOL.

Nobody in the Mopar community is against them coming out.
They originally were supposed to come out in Sept. so in the whole scheme of things, coming out at the end of the year is actually better than most new product offerings regards sticking to timelines

My fingers are crossed that they soon come out with a more race type small block head down the road like they did with their big block head. I talked to the owner of Trick Flow in the lanes at Norwalk and thanked him for finally getting into the mopar market. He said they were surprised by the sales and told me to stay tuned for a new release. Three weeks later the upgraded big block head was announced. They are a very tight lipped company that is always willing to sit down and listen to the racers.

John...... look forward to your thought on that trick flow as it will come from the factory after you see them

I think he was referring to the word "defiantly" which probably was suppose to be "definitely".

After seeing their products I can tell you right now it will be very nice. My fingers will be all over it and I will ask if I can take some close-up pictures.

No...... i was replying to the guy who said...... “ i guess a lot of people dont want them to come to market

Yeah, post #190, I thought he was replying to post #189 that said defiantly. No matter. Nice to have another small block head.

Yes, I was ribbing on the defiantly, especially because it kind of ties in to those that say we don't need another "factory" head. I am anxiously looking forward to seeing them materialize as I've heard too much about the other options to want to mess with them.
I buy enough other **** these days that I have to fix before I can use, I'd rather not have to do that with something I don't have the tools for.

Just got an e-mail from Trick flow tech department heads will be available(so they say) in December..no price yet..
