Is there anything special about these nuts? I need a couple and have not been able to find any OEM's. Perhaps just use some nylocks.

This should be what your after.

Any idea where to buy a couple of those? Thanks.

Junk yard.
Up here we call them Pick-N-Pull, but in Southern California, you guys call them Ecology.

I would sell you some of mine if i knew when i was going to make a drive over to the post office, for something else, but i can't make a seperate trip for such small dollar items.

Funny the one's I have seen are twelve point.

I have seen that too, and have over a dozen of them.
Now don't absolutely quote me on this, but i only have seen them on 64 and earlier cars, so there had to be a cut off time frame in their usage, application, at some point in time.

Any reason the nuts on the LCA side will not screw all the way on to the strut. Threads are good, they just seem to stop at one point.

Tell us more.
What have you done?
Replaced the strut rods themselves?
New aftermarket ones? Good used ones?
Did a bushing replacement?
Original ones to the car?

Bought good used ones. I also noticed they do not have a hole for roll pin like my originals from '69 Barracuda

they are an interferance thread, a type of self locking nut. if you look close you'll notice the hole is not perfectly round, they're pre clinched.
