Turbocharged 273. Built a sheet metal intake for a TB and injectors. What size TB should I install for a 9-12 psi build? Hoping for maybe 380-400hp. I was thinking maybe 60mm-ish off something so I could get the IAC and TPS all in one piece. MS2 with 33 lb injectors. Street duty only.

Would love to see your intake!
There are calculators for throttle bodies and injectors. Not sure how accurate they are. Maybe a second hand TB off a modern Mustang or Challenger?

Foxbody mustangs have cable operated TBs or maybe a early LS engine. Should be plenty big for a 273. The boost don’t care!!

I don't think it would matter bow big the TB is as long as it's not to small and not so big that it makes it impossible for your MS2 to get a good idle. To big can make the throttle very touchy.

here is a few shots. its all together, just need to drill the front for a TB and then set the top on and weld her up. Drill some Bungs on the runners and affix the Magnum fuel rail. The gray stuff is seam sealer. its all over the joints as I didnt want to bead weld the entire 6 feet of seams plus I could not get to some after assembly so a few tacks, a few beads and then seam sealer. Nice thing about a MPFI intake is that it is dry so you dont need a heavy duty fuel resistant sealer. This was my first attempt at this, just working off the top of m head. The next one Ill build will have round runners shaped to the rectangular ports so I can hole saw the round runner entry into the plenum instead of square cuts. The runners are skinny but its an N/A to boosted 273 and with the small length runners, I doubt they will make much of an impact. Gonna spray bomb the whole thing red to match the motor, maybe keep the top plate natural and clear coat it. Its tall but there is no carb on top.

Nice build!!!

I went to the junkyard and yanked one off of a Ford 5.0L...think it came from an explorer. Tore it apart, cleaned it, and powder coated it. Works great in my single turbo 360 with MS2

cool, will be in touch to discuss MS2 settings...

Fire away! Mine is not perfect..... but I did not blow it up last weekend at the sand dunes...so must be doing something correct! Definitely wire it up to control timing.
