Check ebay for led 5630 peel and stick flexible light strip. You dont need water proof type. They offer that too. Theres a bunch of colors to pick from.
 
Some great life skills for your kids if they are engaged. My oldest son and I have done a lot of car projects. Probably lost money on all, don’t even think about counting labor, but it taught him a lot of skills and problem solving. Great times. Would do it over again in a minute. Just try and keep the scope down so you can have some successes & don’t be too picky or you will lose them.

Did some assembly marks as well. I should have replicated the cosmoline but read somewhere some lowers were bare and some dipped. Oh well.

Mine are all teenage girls. They come help if I need em to but they're not chomping at the bit to get dirty. They do change their own oil and flat tires though. So they get by okay. Actually my middle one changed some guys tire at school a few weeks ago. This pic is already posted in the thread but it's my favorite.

Not sure why I'm so weird but for some reason i wanted to do these markings. It's far from stock and not a restoration but I think this is the way It should have come off the assembly line. I tried to be a little accurate in the meanings of the marks Anyway here are the rear markings.

So the whole theme for my car is kinda 'how, I think, it should have been made', like from the factory. You know minitubed, frame connected, handles well, goes like hell, looks tough but not over the top. I'm going for a factory look, Subtle is the word.

So with that in mind. I have a friend that owns a custom wheel shop. I told him what I wanted to do and gave him a wheel, some measuements and some pics.

So I'm gonna share some of that process. First measurements and rendering

Some people won't like the idea or think it's a waste of time and money. But it was my time and my money and I'm happy with the look and the end product.

Maybe these pics will help you decide. This was a complete, quite solid /6 originally. After the paint was stripped off the real fender bender damage came to light.
I’ve put way more money in it than it would ever be worth. But, it’s not the typical Mustang, Camaro or Challenge. It’s fun, fast and from the past.
Just a thought, but if you know what you can and can’t do yourself then use FABO to find someone in your area that can/will help you. I’ve met some really nice guys that love helping the less talented.

I'm sure they set you back a small fortune, but they look incredible. Just beautiful. It's a darn shame that we can't get 17" or 18" wheels that look like that mass produced. Or the police wheels. In offsets that actually fit an A-body, not like the 17" Year One stuff.

I would love to run an 18" replica of a police wheel with the original dog dish caps.

And your car just keeps looking better and better. Thanks for updating!
