There is an article in the new Mopar Muscle mag. on the Mickey Thompson 255-60/15 Street ET tires. They finally end up running 17 psi at the track. My question is what tire pressure would you use for the street? Would you bump it up to 25 to go home on.
Who is running these tires on the street? and what pressure are you using?
I found the article interesting and just had some questions.

For street driving I bump mine to the 25 to 30 psi range. I liked 20 at the track. Worked for me !

I run these tires all the time. Even at drag week. On a good track I run 20 psi, bad track down to 17 or 18. I run 30 psi on the street. That has always given me a good wear pattern. Mine are 275/60/15 on a 71 Dart

I have been looking at these tires and will be ordering them soon. Thanks

I like 'um better than the BFG Drag Radials. Right now I have Goodyear Drag Radials that were given to me new. Will be putting them on my 65 Belvedere to try.

M/T 275/60/15 on 74 Dart
Street 30 Psi
Track 15 Psi
Works for me.

I run my 325 ss/r's 16 track 30 street no problems at all

Thanks for the replies, I have a good reference now
\Now to get tires and start breaking part, though I am doing that now

On my van at the strip I run 255/60-15's @ 16-17 psi, and after a few seconds (just till they smoke) in the burnout box they then always dead hook. On the street I'm still experimenting with the best psi. They are easy to light up at normal street pressures, will be trying the lower 20's and see how the do. I like 'em though.

A good reference in tire pressure. We need to try different pressures to see what will work the best.

A lot of rear wheel weight to help !!

My setup is 61/39 front/rear bias, I need a lot of help!
u gotta ge kiddin, engine set back that far, all that weight on the rear ?
Don`t look to have much front end weight!????????????

For what its worth i get good wear running 30 psi with my 275/60R15 bfg’s on the rear

Back to the orig. question, I run 22 pounds in my 295 65 15`s on 8" rims , they are close to having the tread flat on the pavement , will surely drop it to around 17 on the strip.

I was thinking 25 to 30 psi for the street. Will have to experiment with them. thanks

Run a wide stripe of white shoe polish across the tread and drive the car. Adjust air pressure until it disappears evenly.

I'm not sure feedback on Goodyear or BF Goodrich radials are pertinent to the MT S/S drag radials. The MTs are a different cat..

Still a drag radial is a dot radial regulated tire. The load rating should be similar to the all season in a comparable size.
