Curently the engine is a 5.9 Magnum with eddy heads. They are setup for a hydraulic roller. I plan on buying the blueprint 408 shortblock which is LA based. So, I believe I would just need linkbar lifters and oil threw pushrods. Anyone else gone this route or have any info to share?

Why not stroke the 360 you have?
Magnum blocks are actually a bit better than LA blocks.
Gotta believe you can buy a stroker kit and have a shop set you up for same kind of money

you will need aftermarket retrofit oil through the pushrod lifters unless the LA block is late with HR provisions- specify
good question B3122w5
you will also have to specify compression height to get quench where you want it - say .035 with whatever gaskets you want to run common is .028 Mr gasket or .040 +
you will also need B3 kit if roller tip rockers

I would need oil threw as thats how the head is oiled on the mag. There not shaft mounted. There stud mount.

The short block I got from Blueprint was an 89 LA block with the roller lifter bores and the bosses. You should be able to verify what block you will receive, and if its the roller LA bloc then you can just swap over your existing roller setup.

Why do you ask a question that has nothing to do with the OP’s question.
Why is it your questioning what he did?
Why is that not OK with you?

Why?
Does Blue Print perform this service?
Does he need to run a high ratio quenched engine?
Is there a problem with a low compression no quench engine?

Wyrmrider, B3422W5

Why question what he is doing?
Why not help him with his problem?
Wyrmrider;
Why must you always mention a B3 kit?
Are you making money on the B3 kits sold through FABO?
How do you know he didn’t already have one?

Good job guys! Nothing like being questioned on your motives on your own build and how you spent your money.

I ask because maybe( probably) the info i gave him he might not have considered or taken into consideration before making his purchase. He said he hasnt bought the blueprint engine yet.
Where i come from, the more info a person has, the better, more informed decision he can make. Its great advice i gave him
If YOU dont like it, tough ****

Learn how to use the forums quote feature....

Seriously, what’s wrong with a Blue Print engine purchase?

Perhaps, just guessing, he wants to drive his ride until the time of swapping engines?

Great advice?

My *** !!!!

More like you “assume” a bit of something which makes your advice about as useful as used toilet paper stuck in your ***.

Seems like your statement is questioning his prerogative and not addressing this issue.
Since you can’t help in his issue......

I appreciate everyones help. Didnt mean to cause a stirup. Just asking before I start this build. Sometimes theres small things people overlook. I always like advice from other experienced Mopar brothers.

Which means what now??? You can have them adjust the thing you call a problem? Personally I hope they can!

Are you sure he can’t make power with low compression and no quench?
Below are 3 examples.
Horsepower, compression ratio, airflow?
&
Dyno testing a stock(?) 1972 440
And everybody’s favorite;
Dyno a 7.5:1 400? Sure, why not?
