I plan to replace the fuel tank in my 1964 Canadian Valiant Signet convertible. It resembles the US Dart from the windshield back. I have the tank, strap and sending unit with grommet. Please tell me about any other parts I should get and give me any installation tips.

Hello,
Get the rubber gasket (grommet) that goes around the filler neck and the tank
They are most of the time all dry rotted and fall apart when removed.
Thanks,
Arron

Hello Wayne
One more, Be sure that the tank has a good ground to the car body or the fuel gauge will not work correctly.
Some times when cars are repainted they spray the under side with a good coat and now the tank may not have a good ground.
Happy Mopar :)

I bought the grommet today and expect that the installation will be done soon.
Thanks for the suggestion about grounding too.

I was able to get more information from the 1964 repair manual. I have uploaded a PDF of that info. I hope that helps someone else.
