The Dart has struck again! My 1967 Dodge Dart 270, that is. I'm installing new leaf springs from ESPO. The forward mount (which holds the pivot bolt) on both sides of the vehicle had a weld stud snap on me. An either/or dilemma now faces me.

Either

(a) it is safe enough to drill out the stud and weld a new one in (in which case, what size am I looking for?),

or

(b) I need to buy a new mount (in which case, where can I buy a stock one?)

Ideas? Thanks ahead of time for your help!

They are splined. Pressed in. Should b able to knock it out with a hammer. I may have some good ones in a junk hanger...

Thanks! I wailed on it a little and the broken studs popped right out.

Do you know what size of new, splined stud I need to get?

If worse comes to worse, why not get a bolt exactly the same size and thread , and tack weld the head of it and fagetaboudit----

That would certainly get the job done. Not sure what grade they should be, 5 or 8

3/8-16 x 1-1/4. Don't know anything about the spline sizing. How many do you need? I have a junk hanger with 2 useable studs...

As luck would have it, I need EXACTLY two studs. Would you PM me a price and we can go from there? Thanks!
