Could someone tell me if there is anyone selling replacement tail light sockets for a 1971 Dart? I need one for the stop/turn signal. What are my choices?

Thanks.

They dont make them anymore. Dorman has ones that are close.

I just replaced mine with the generic off the rack socket from O'Reilly's. Easy.

Good luck on that. Because they are not removable from the taillight housing. To remove it you pretty much destory it. New is your only option

I kind of figured I might need to adapt something generic. Why I’m at it has anyone tried out an LED bulb in their tail lights?

The reflection is kinda weird in the housing. You get one super bright spot and not much more. Stay with stock bulbs.

Just polish up the inside and call it good.

For LEDs the Sylvania Zevo is pretty good and lights the whole lens, even with a really dull reflector. Made a huge difference in the daylight.

Walmart carries it looks like something every car guy should have. I'm going to give that a try thanks for the tip.

Can you give me a paint recommendation on the black paint for the taillights. I think my taillight socket replacement project has just changed into total taillight refurbishment.

If you use a airbrush? Don't laugh. But testors model paint Gloss Black is spot on perfect. They also sell it in a spray can.

More pictures. You get the idea. You need to do it one color at a time. Silver is first. Black is last. First pic is before.
