Hello all, so I have been a lurker on here for a long time. I have been looking for a clean 71-72 Demon or 68-69 FB Barracuda for years.
Well in my search I found a clean 1967 Dart GT that hails from sunny CA. The body is very clean, one quarter has some real bad paint peeling from bad prep work. I ran the fender tag and it came back showing it’s a Dart GT that came with a 6cyl and AC. It has tinted glass, fender mounted turn signals, AM radio (5 watt), narrow body sill molding, console, and premium black/white vinyl interior. It’s still in its original color which is R yellow.
At some point someone swapped a 318 into the car but I don’t know what year 318 it is. Interior is clean and most of the issues it has are stupid electrical issues, gas gauge, temp gauge, hazard switch, turn signals, and brake lights stuck on.
I’m excited because I always liked the 67-69 Darts but I’m up in the air if I want to keep it or try and trade out for a Demon or FB Barracuda.

Here is a shot of the underneath, sorry I’ll get more later. The underneath is amazing for a 1967 which makes me want to keep it and build it up.

This is the only bad part of the whole car. There isn’t any rust it’s just real bad paint prep which caused the paint to crack and flake

Do you have any more of those wheel covers like whats on your spare? Looks like a nice car. Yiu would not have any trouble selling it. Where are you located?

Nice looking car! 67-69 have always been a favorite of mine I love them all dont get me wrong but i prefer the hardtop cars over the sport back cars ( demons dusters and sports) I'm weird like that because I also prefer notch back barracudas and 74-76 taillights vs 70-73!! Welcome aboard and keep us posted on your progress

I agree with the 67-69 Darts, but I’m a FB Barracuda man. I also prefer the 70-72 Demons and Dusters. I love the bezeleless tail lamps. Anyhow first thing I have to get working on is all the electrics gremlins.
Gas guage, Temp gauge, turn signals and hazard lights

you sure that aint bondo? I had a repaint over bondo and the paint did the same thing. Bondo was mixed wrong and never fully cured so the paint had nothing to stick to.

Agree, probly bondo under there. Car is a keeper. I have a 68 fastback, but I would definitely have started my build w/ ur dart.
Toss up--------
51 YR old car, I`d completely rewire it !!

I’m telling you there isn’t an ounce of Bondo on this car. I went over it with a paint depth guage. It’s a California car and it’s just very very shotty prep work. The paint and primer is all cracked and peeling off.

Welcome from a fellow Pittsburger. Actually I am located just north of the 'burgh in Butler .Nice looking Dart. My Dart is a original CA car as well but I've had it since 1981. Yours is a definite keeper.
Thanks brother it’s all the small electrical **** that is driving me crazy right now.
