Just installed the kit in my 68 Dart. It took me 1-1/2 hrs. The lengths of all the leads were just right. I couldn't be happier with the harness. Thanks crackedback.

Will this work/fit a '64 Valiant?

If it does, I'm confused on the price. The first post shows 2 headlight kit at 85 or 140. I'm assuming the 85 kit is a sorta diy kit

135 for is ready to install.

85 is for the DIY kit

I've built a bunch of them for early A's over the years

Ok. I can do it myself but, the time saved having you put it together for me, is worth it. I'll be in touch about it in a few weeks.

Yes I can. Been getting more request for truck kits in the last year.

Ok good to know- thanks! I'll have to get a hold of you once we swap motors in my dad's pickup. I think that and a direct charge wire from the alternator to battery should improve things a bit on his old farm truck.

Guess it's a good thing when you have to order more wire!
Thanks for the purchases.

Finally got around to installing the kit I purchased from crackedback.
WOW! Great product and what a world of difference. It was completely plug and play and came with great instructions. I was able to easily route wires where they needed to be located. The kit is perfect.
My headlights are substantially brighter. I would say the light output I have now on the low beam setting is just as bright as my factory wiring high beam setting. My dash lights are brighter. Another great feature is that my lights don't dim down when I come to a stop light and have to idle for a bit. Especially when there is more draw from things like the heater fan and wiper motor. I think everyone driving one of these older Mopars should invest in this kit. Once you see the difference, you could never go back.
Thanks crackedback!

im interested in getting this but im not a super wiz at wiring lol so can somebody simplify and tell me what exactly it does to make your headlights brighter lol? and what would be a good bulb upgrade to run with it? and can i get something similar to the new dodge challenger headlights with the rings?
thanks in advance

Kit provide better voltage to the lights, by using larger gauge wire, shorter runs and fewer connections.

I recommend a GE nighthawk halogen head H6024NH. I have no recommendation for any headlights with rings.

Mike,

Hard to hide them without a battery if that was your intent. On a 68 Dart, I would mount them on the back of rad support, pass side. Shortest runs and can be put down low above frame rail to keep out of sight.

Street cars I like the relays in the engine compartment to keep them out of the heavy elements (rain). If you never drive in the rain, then on the front of rad support works as well. Pick a spot and I can build it for you!

thanks Rob the car is dry weather only. Once I finalize a location I'll let you know.It will be infront of the rad support is one side better than the other? The original harness will run through the driver side inner fender(wheel side)
thanks mike
