hi guys where is a good spot to get 12v for the electric choke on my 1406 edelbrock carb?
Ok thanksI used the 12volt side of the ballast resistor. A relay triggered buy a switched circuit would be best. Don't forget a fuse if you do.
Ok thanksUse a switched 12v source . this is so that it is not active when the key isn't in the ignition .
Don't need a choke living in Socal.
Removing it is the first thing I do on my Eddy carbs.
LOl yea trueDon't need a choke living in Socal.

Having a choke on my car is a very small price to pay to NOT have to live/survive in socal.Don't need a choke living in Socal.

The model number is stamped on the left ear. I can see it in your photo but can'tmake it out.No choke
No Edelbrock tag.
Looks more like an original Carter.
That's how I roll.

No choke on the front and a choke on the back carburetor.
The back carburetor I got on a scrap metal run when a guy was giving me some scrap metal and working on a Chevy truck. gave me the carburetor still warm and full of gas and the truck was running great with it but he just never could get the choke to work! He was bolting on a new carburetor as I left. I put a whole 12 volts to it and it's the carburetor I use for the choke LOL.
Yes the Edelbrocks do.Yea it looks exactly like a carter!!
Never.Have you guys ever had any major problems with these carbs?
OkNever.
