Purchased an original tuff wheel adapter for my 71 Demon from e-bay, listed as fitting A or B body, went to put it on today and appears the splines are different. The adapter splines appear smaller/finer and do not have the master spline. Is there a difference between the 69 and earlier steering shaft as opposed to the 70 and later? Did a little research and all I came up with is some conflicting information on Little Red/Warlock/Cbody adapters. Would like to positivly identify the one I have so I can resell. Thanks.

If it don't have a major keyway it's for the trucks cars have a major key way and all cars b.c.a.f body's all work

Cant say I have ever seen a different spline. Could it possibly be for a tilt column? Tilts are a whole different animal compared to the standard columns.

I've only ran into the two different ones in my 55years one with keyway and one without

No key way is truck as mentioned above.

The splines themselves are also different, so they do not interchange.

no key way is right but they do interchange. I have one on my 74 charger steering column that is out of a ramcharger.

I tried a truck one on a car shaft last night before I posted above, no go.

interesting , that I yanked one off a 77 ramcharger steering column and it is now on my dodge charger column , the only adapter I have had in years.

Would any one have the instructions for swapping out the original to a Tuff wheel? I have a 71 Duster auto.

Thanks
