Not sure where to put this but I figured maybe some other guys with race cars are in this boat?

I'm thinking about removing my cowell vents and wiper holes as they leak water into the car. (No heater or wipers)

Any one do something like this? Will it look super weird?

I can make the panel on the English wheel then flange the surrounding cut so the new panel sits flush and weld it in or just pop rivet aluminum over the vent and weld up the wiper holes?

Thoughts? Pics if you've already done it?

Thanks for the time and advice.

I'm doing the same but it's because of engine setback and I won't be driving in wet weather. BTW it's "cowl"

Thanks, auto correct was insisting it was spelled otherwise.

How you gonna do it?

I really like like this idea on a race car. I like the look of a smooth straight car! Cant wait to see what you come up with.

Mines been stalled for awhile, will get back to it after the new year. Saving pics for a build thread when I have more progress.

Go to any decent hardware store and look for chair leg caps..........they come in a variety of diameters and I have always been able to find the perfect fit for the wiper holes. They are basically round chrome buttons with little tabs that snap in place to hold them.
You'll have to be a little more hands on for the vents.
