So I'm confused. Is it an LA or a Magnum? I mean it's badass, but which is it? Says early Magnum block in the article. Do they mean an LA roller block?
 
That is awesome, they did some great work especially reshaping the tunnel ram to match.
 
4 bolt main conversion and windage ports cut n the main webs, NO THANKS. These blocks are weak enough in that area. Makes for a good cross your fingers dyno queen. Good showing though, impressive performance.

You could say that.....and I kinda agree, but in the end it put up the numbers. I would like to see for "how long" or "how many miles" it could do it.

I was thinkin more like a factory durability test like they do when a new engine design is tested. For instance X amount of RPM for X amount of hours with X amount of load. But yeah I'm all for you gettin it too. LOL
 
I really don't think them Smith Brothers Pushrods are hollow. aka mag oil pushrods.
High lifter bore, Roller cam 360 LA.
 
And he did it with a "cheap" Eagle forged crank and rods...What no Kellogg or Callies crank? They aint all bad.

The builder said it was a early 360 magnum block.

No power adder.
Motor will be at the competition week from Thursday, we will get to see it run.
Block is 100 over, 3/4 filled. He was surprised how much meat remained when he sonic checked it.
Made this number at 7500 rpm. 775 lift roller. Has around 55 pulls on it sorting it out

Wish that push rod pic had a better angle on it, so we could see if there is a hole in it, or not.......

At 7500 rpm, then at 8000 rpm, I doubt very seriously if the pushrods are solid.
Unless they are of an exotic lite weight material--maybe unobtanium?
 
Mag's feed oil threw the center of the push rods, and LA don't....That's my point. The push rod pic just don't show if it has one or not.

The block is a early Magnum block.
AKA, it still has the block oil feed hole to the heads.
