JJ and the Memphis crew are live (Face Book Messenger) at Holland, Tx giving rides.
He comes across as the real deal. Let's hope he doesn't screw up somewhere down the line.

He comes across as "who he really is" not an actor. What did you think I meant? What exactly do you mean by the real deal?

I thought you meant a “real” street racer. The majority of the guys racing on that show were racing on the streets long before the cameras showed up. Most of them aren’t much different in person than they are when you talk to them.
well ain't this cool, my sons race dirt here around Jonesboro, many tracks with in a 200 mile ratios, I love drag racing, Been going to George Ray's for 37 years, you still raceI guess my description was intended to include that fact. He was street racing up around where we lived in North Arkansas. There's a good possibility my oldest son may have lined up with him at one time or another, if he was street racing in early 90s. They are about the same age. I built him (son) a strip/street truck, 85 GMC and I built a 72 Duster for my younger son. They ran at George Ray's Strip in Paragould and on the street in Blytheville and the surrounding area. Worried me to death, even though I was racing dirt track myself.
I like the fact that JJ was up front with the trouble he got into. I just hope they all stay out of trouble. Norm
There's only one Boss Hog and there's only one JJ, nobody else needs to take credit!
No, I resigned from my Flight Mechanic job (1996) with a pipe fitting company in El Dorado, opened my own aircraft repair shop thinking I would have all kinds of time to dedicate to my racing, but it was not to be...too much work! Sold out everything except my engine (I still have it) to a Murphy Oil pilot, who put two more seasons on the car. I liked the show they did about his life. Made me change my mind about him.I used to think JJ was an ***. Now my mind has changed, and he's so much better than Big Chief that it ain't funny!
