About $285 invested so far. Includes manifold, carb ( carb has been rebuilt ), aluminum adaptor, Bridgeport work, welding, gaskets. It's about ready to bolt on. About 25% larger than 1 barrel. Might go with Lokar verses trying to find / fit hooky factory mechanical linkage.

Stock super six linkage won't work with that set up. The factory 2bbl setup had the carb rotated 90 degrees from yours.
That is almost like my setup, done in 1976. Only I used the cast iron manifold, and made it for a Holley 500 2 bbl.

Ya, I know. Was looking to some how use the bell crank part of it, but I have succumbed to using cables for both the throttle and kick down linkage and just fab up some mounting brackets. Any pics of your set up? 1976 uh - you must be really old. :poke:

I have pics in my computer, but don't know how to do anything but print them out.
Started messing with cars in the '50's, started racing in 1959.
Had my flathead Ford period. After that small block and FE series Fords. Then small block and "W" engine Chevy's. Finally settled on Mopars around 1974, everything except Hemi's, but mostly slant sixes. Have done Drag racing, Dirt track, asphalt track, and a little road course racing.

PS: Old enough to know better, but young enough to have fun, anyway.

I'm sure you got me by a few years. Grew up in a mostly Mopar family. Started racing in 63 ( 63 Plymouth Max wedge sport fury convert ). Gave up racing in 2015. Bought my first A body out of a bone yard in Phoenix about 1.5 years ago. Rust free 74 Duster, /6 225. Trying to get it to keep up with my wife's V6 68 Jeepster.:steering: Pic is my last race car - mid 10 second "Land Yacht".

Here are a few linkage pics of my custom 2 barrel manifold mod. Used Lokar for the throttle and Trans-Dapt for the kick down linkage.

Finally got it out on the road a few days ago. After some carb and linkage adjustments, the little slant runs pretty good. Marked improve at upper RPM range. I'm ready to take on any Prius in town.

That's easy. When you have an edit/ posting window open, should be a button down below the window says "upload photos" Punch that, navigate to the folder where the photos lie. If they won't pop up in thumb, they are sized too large. There are many ways to reduce a photo. You can even do so with the old Microcrap "Paint" about a thousand others

Pretty cool project. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm didn't I just buy a slant scamp?

Have you done anything to the exhaust department? How about ignition curve?

Actually, had a major turn of events over here since the last time I posted on this thread. Ran across a deal on a 97 318 Magnum motor and an electronic 46RE trans that was too good to pass up so - - - - My /6 is soon to be history in my 74 Duster. Looking to sell the 46RE which was rebuilt in Sept of 2015 and has a brand new convertor with it and replacing it with a 727 that I just finished rebuilding. The Magnum will be done as a non-electronic motor. I will be looking to sell my /6 and trans shortly. Short block needs to be redone. Head has been reconditioned ( new valves, seats, springs, retainers and keepers, pocket ported, and milled .090". Over $650 in the head alone and the intake system is per this thread ( over $350 in it). Trans shifts great, but needs to be resealed - has leaks. $900 would be a deal for somebody that would want it all or I could piece it out if necessary.

Cool! I like it. Looks like there might have been enough room to do a 4 BBL. :D

Was your last race car a real 300? I've always wanted to drop a 5.7 (or 6.1/6.2/6.4) G3 Hemi in one of those.

Hey Del, sounds like you need to make a deal.

Yep. Started out as a 79 Chrysler 300. I went with a blown 408 small block, but a 3rd gen hemi would be way cool!
