Just an observation . My daughter has been a visitor to my home 50+ times . She still needs her VAV system to get here and back . She works 3towns away from her home but used a VAV system every day . I asked her "How many towns do you go through every day for work and back ". Her answer was ," I don't know ". My granddaughter is worse . she needs an app. to go to the toilet . SAD

Some people use it for traffic updates. But most people aren't in touch with their surroundings. My step daughter is the same way. Can't find her way out of her own town. People are too dependent on computers.

At this point in time, you have two generations that can't read an analog clock & can't give you change without the cash register telling them how much it is. These are the leaders of tomorrow, are we ready for that?

Reality is we don't, aren't required to, use our brains anymore.
I bet most of you guys remember your home phone number from growing up and your 3 best friends as well. With a rotary or, "the latest", push button phone we had to!
Well, I can remember those clearly, but I don't know a lot of regular numbers I use regularly today. They are a name in a phone vs a number in my head.

People become reliant on technology because they can. As technology progresses, people use it because it is pervasive...and convenient. It is in our DNA to find the easy way to do something and technology offers vast ways of doing more with less effort.

People complained 40 years ago when their kids would spend time hunting for the TV remote rather then getting up and manually changing the channel or volume.

When was the last time you sharpened a pencil rather than just grabbing a pen? Or used a calculator rather than picking up a pen and paper to do the equation?

Modern people have more technology as kids than we did...but you can be damn sure we would have used it just like they do...if it had been available.

I agree with that. But that does not mean that I believe not using our brains is a good thing in any way, shape or form!

I agree, it’s all a balance. God forbid if some of the people of today find themselves without power for extended periods. None of them would know how to survive without their technology.

Can't tie their shoes either

Funny that you don’t follow your own words and continue to judge others according to your own standards.

Did you forget saying this?

“In order for a Believer to receive forgiveness, we must first forgive others.”

Those words include not judging others for what they do. Forgiveness does not include judgement for only God can judge...not you.
