did you balance internally or externally? If you went through all the trouble to assemble that, Pretty sure you internally balanced it. I like the Summit SUM-C4277

These Professional Products SFI Spec PowerForce Plus dampers provide more applications for a wider range of engines. All Professional Products PowerForce Plus dampers feature a bonding process, which adheres the elastomer to the i.d. of the inertia ring and the o.d. of the hub. Through subsequent research and development, Professional Products has perfected a new process that utilizes a stronger adhesive, along with an improved elastomer, to create a much stronger bond. Professional Products dampers all feature clear, white, easy-to-read timing marks against a painted black background. In addition, they engrave a mark every 90 degrees, which is also painted white (90 degree marks are not on small block Ford dampers). You won't find any dampers that are more accurately balanced or more closely machined for the correct fit than the Powerforce or Powerforce Plus line of high performance street or SFI Spec racing harmonic dampers.

Both of my darts got Fluidampr as well as my current engine build that is in progress

For my 360 recently bought a powerbond race unit. 20% off from autozone. Looks much like stock but is sfi approved and has a lock to prevent outer shell from coming out. Forged hub. Nice looking piece. Believe made in Australia.

Never heard of them but will have a look thanks

I have used several Fluid Dampers over the years with zero issues but my go to dampers are ATI Super Dampers. We put a Powerbond Damper on my Sons 360 after the Summit one spun. It was recommended to me by a Mopar engine builder. So far so good.

Hey Rodsaknockin,

I went with this one for my internally balance 340. Only been about a year, but I am happy with it. Was reasonably priced as well.

I'd go with an ATI damper. Using one on the 340 I'm getting ready to fire up. The engine shop I use swears by them. Also, I used one on the little mini-stock 4 banger I raced, turning 8500 rpm's at corner entry. With all the inherent vibrations in those engines, once I switched to an ATI damper I got 2 seasons before a rebuild, compared to rebuilding every season without that damper. Bearing wear was minimal.

They are junk.. lasted me a couple months and slipped the outer ring... Same with the non SFI professional products, except the non sfi actually came apart.

ATI balancers are awesome, but expensive
Fluidampr Expensive, but awesome
Right now I have a trickflow Trackmax SFI Balancer, engine is still new but so far it's ok. We'll see how it does come racing season.

Hey rodsaknokin so which balancer have you considered? I just remembered that there is another type/brand I considered and is a quality piece. Romac is the name. 0218-cw is the Romac part #. Check it out!

Haven't decided yet just reading about some of them I will check out this one you have mentioned. Thanks

Those are nice looking pieces for sure. I will give my parts guy a call this week and look Into several of them and get prices see where the dust settles.the budget is blown all to hell now so I will beg the wife for forgiveness later haha good thing she has a sense of humour

Cool! I personally don't like the ones that have a weight bolted behind. Seems to me sketchy. I perfer with weight removed like stock style. Which is the style of the ones I mentioned. Just something to think about.

I do agree with that less parts the idea is cool for sure and at some point you need it on a different engine combo you have the spare parts to get moving .

I recently got this damper for my 5.9 Magnum build but so far I'm not super impressed, instructions had no mention of the weights and the weights themselves were printed with the wrong part numbers so I had to go searching for all that online.

PRW 2431841: SFI-Rated Racing Steel Harmonic Damper Small Block Mopar 273-360 | JEGS

I'd love to use an ATI but dangit I can't swing $350-400 for a damper. If this thing slips... "cheap parts are more expensive in the long run."

Hey T56, how are you using these dampers? Circle track or ?? Peka RPM's? You seem to be a good 'test bed' for them...
