my Low dollar 318 hop-up project

BTW I am not a racer so I have 0 opinion on who is faster :) I do try to model the engine with software to predict what it will make but I have not verified what power it makes or will make on a dyno or track.
Told him that clear back in post 633. He can't see or know noth'n…. look'n into his dumb phone... :D

I have been adding weight and interior for the last year and you have been shaving tenths the whole time.
I would be utterly embarrassed to post what you posted and I quoted IF :
  • I had a built 410 with 4.11's, and the other guy had a stock 360 and 2.45's (not even headers) :D :D :D :D :D

410's..
Are you out of "reasons" yet...?
I can post the 13.75 time slip from earlier this year with my more radical cam in the car. You're right I have a very embarrassing combination here I'm sure a tweaker like you could....
well I ran one person off the Forum I certainly don't want to be accused of doing it someone as nice as you so I better just go ahead and drop this...:poke:

some folks have thought 318willrun means I have a 318 that runs down the 1/4 fast, it really means if somebody comes for me, my 318 - will - run...….. and hide scarred never to be seen from again...….. :D

NEXT!??..

NEXT!??..
I was thinking.... :realcrazy: LOL..... I have a load of stuff that was supposed to be scrapped/thrown away by others.... (but offered it to me free before pitching it).... If I should actually haul it to the scrap yard, or see if there is enough stuff in the pile of rusty metal I've accumulated to build something that would give ya a run for your $$$$$

I've got a …..
  • Rusty 360 block disassembled
  • few other engines...
  • some cracked heads, some that aren't … LOL
  • an old MP cam (any flat lobes??) …..
  • some beat to death headers.....
  • a few intakes...….
  • And i'm sure more once I start to digg'n - hey, I saved this stuff from becoming refrigerators over the years.
:D

Sell it all and buy a four inch arm and you may have a chance..

I don't think scrap metal is that high.... doubt I'd get enough for a stroker kit.

Not sure I'd need more than a 3.31 stoke :poke:

There is a good chance the low dollar 318 may get to breathe. I'm going to work with some junk Tri-Y headers, rework the outlets and this spring I'll install them on here to see how they work, and see how I like them.

Be still my heart! You headers!???

I think the low dollar 318 will get pulled for the 360 I'll be racing Jababa with. So, I'll change the rear end, add headers, and perhaps converter around the 318, then pull that for the 360.

keep talking like this and you may draft me over onto your side of the street...

were gonna try and meet more than once, we've already agreed to that. I may give him a shot at the 318 - with the headers, little better gears, and perhaps converter. I think he is coming the first round pretty mild himself.....

Don't you think headers converters and gears should be mentioned in your other thread? It may give your voters some hope...

I'm not going to read through all of the other thread, but I'm sure I mentioned it somewhere along the line. I'm not doing anything crazy like 8" converter and 4.56 gears, I'm keeping it very street able.

Oh, the voters... I'm not worried about gaining votes, and those that voted for me has probably do to what they already know about me, not what I list.

Yup. You did. Then jpar said to take your $220 that you’d save by making your own subframe connectors and go buy a set of cheap summit headers instead of building crap like roadkill. Lol

It’s still a low dollar effort. Sensible use of the grey matter in calculating the approximate finish line rpm with the tires currently in use with a new gear ratio will yield good results.

Inexpensive headers into a simple home built (or even a Summit/Jegs) exhaust is also inexpensive.

A converter is a good bit to extravagant in price. Even cheap converters are a decent expense when placed on the list of cheap performance parts.

Comments like that are going to quickly work you up to the top of my good side list!
