That cat makes me feel like ....

Friendly is the cat who disappeared for 3 1/2 years. We figured a dog got him. Opened the door one day and BAM there he was. That's been probably five years ago. It's a funny story how we got him. He was a tiny kitten when we saw him in the yard. He was literally there one second and GONE the next. He moved so fast you could not see him run away. He just disappeared. Damndest thing I ever saw. So......I devised a plan. I made a box trap out of a flat rate USPS box and put some tuna fish under it. Tied a piece of string to a stick and propped the box up with the stick. Ran the string under the back door and waited. I caught his little ***. I grabbed him and he tried to chew my thumb off. I started petting him and had him purrin up a storm in minutes. I would "guess" he's about 15 now. And yes, he is fluffy because we pet him all the time. He is a sweet cat. He came back home skiddish of me though. We figure wherever he was for 3 1/2 years a man must have mistreated him. Really upsets me but at least he's back home now. He's The Grey Friend. Everybody should have a grey friend. They are special cats.

This is Pixel. She is a rescue we took in off of Facebook. She has bonded with Kitty. Cute little cat.

This is Medley. Also a rescue. We got her from the sister of one of the girls I work with. They kept her caged up in a cat carrier almost 24/7. I overheard them saying they were going to take her to the pound and I said hell no I'll take her. She's a big ham. Always ready to play.

This is Tiger. She is our latest rescue. Someone threw her out in our driveway. She was pregnant and her left eye was severely infected. We had her spayed and her left eye had to be removed, but she has since thrived. She's a very sweet cat. She was somebody's baby, because she has not tried ONE single time to run out the door. She was an inside only cat. She's never had the first accident in the house. Totally housebroken. I cannot imagine someone throwing her away, but they did. Little did they know they threw her in the right place. The first picture, she still had her stitches in her eye. The second two, they have long been removed.

Cute cats glad you gave them rescues a home!! They deserve a chance at life vs the alternative!

This is Moe. I call her Baby Pink Nose. She was born of a feral mother that we adopted out once the kittens were weaned. We still have the father, Seeatee. Get it? C A T? We also adopted out the other kittens. Baby Pink Nose however wasn't havin any of it, as she bonded fiercely with me so she stayed behind here. She follows me everywhere. Sleeps on my side of the bed. Has nothing to do with Kitty. It's pretty funny. Just look how she looks at me. LOL Second picture is her in her usual spot when we are watching TV. Spoilt rotten. lol

Cool cats Rob...

My son adopted a cat that was stray and didn't get along with the other owner's cats... However it's ferule and won't come up to us... It bit my son's hand when we tried to catch it and pet it last week, so bad that he couldn't use the hand for two days and had to go to the first aid clinic and get it cared for and some antibiotics... :mob:

I told him to return that cat to the people that he got it from and we can go to the shelter(s) around here and find one that is friendly and likes to be around people... We can visit them in the shelter and see which ones like to be pet and get attention before we take it home... That's what he likes in a cat and he will be much happier with one like that... :D

It just takes time Karl. Feral cats might be somebody's escaped pet doing its best to survive. Mistreatment leaves emotional and mental scars too. I have never met a cat I couldn't pet ... eventually. Some just take longer and need more love, patience, food and the opportunity to meet on their terms rather than yours.

This is Sarah. She is obviously Siamese. Never seen one like her, though. Look at the patches. She has calico mixed in too. Never see those two together in a cat before. We rescued her from a girl on Facebook who is now a friend. She checks up on Sarah regularly. Sarah is decidedly Kittys cat. She like me alright, but that's where it ends. lol Sje is full of piss and vinegar.

This is Morris and Sweetie. Sweetie was bequeathed to us by a long time family friend and church member. She has pretty calico markings. Morris is just an orange fatass.

Wow! You have many kitties-my wife would love one but the kids and I are all crazy allergic to cats. Do have a dog though. 12 year old Beagle

Dang RRR you are all right, thanks for everything Kitty and you do for the Cats. My wife, Mo and me are pretty fond of the little buggers are selfs. Here is our three, Tootsie being the most resent. All are shelter cats, the orange one is Tootsie, the black and white is Wally and the tortishell is Abby. Tootsie says, Wake me up again and you die! Jeff.

Nice lookin cats, Jeff. We live right off a main highway here in Jones County. It's easy for people to turn off and dump their unwanteds out. I have one more to go. He's our best rescue to date. Yall will meet him tonight. Again.

Here's our latest kid. Charley came from my mother-in laws farm. We found out he is a Flamepoint Siamese. He's a smart kid and a troublemaker.

I grew up with dogs (Black Labs), my wife had cats. Our cat (a rescue) thinks it's a dog...Dang thing plays fetch and retrieves stuff, cuddles, walks on a leash, begs to go out and car rides. Now if I can just get her to point on game birds and swim out to retrieve ducks she'd be the bomb!!! LOL
