I’d like to retain the look of stock 67 BB valve covers over TF 240 heads when it comes time to build my motor.

I know it’s a broad reaching question, but I’m wondering if their is a rule of thumb when it comes to stock valve covers.

the issue with factory v.c. is that there is a dip down on each end of the cover that prevents all but factory rockers and stands . So, if your using stamped or iron rockers with factory stands your o.k.

Just use the MP chrome valve covers. Most anything will fit under those. What rockers do you want to run? If it was me, I would run something like the Erson/MP/Crane ductile iron adjustable rockers. Not available new, but come up all the time on Ebay and sometimes here.

I was looking at the PRW stainless 1:6 roller rockers, I’m trying to avoid aluminum rockers

I've used valve cover spacers before, but I don't know if they are available for mopars. Shouldn't be too hard to make some.

FYI, the Crane Ductile iron adjustable rockers ARE still available. I literally just ordered a brand new set from Summit Racing yesterday for my 440.

460 bucks.

Crane Steel and Ductile Iron Shaft Mount Rocker Arms 64770-16

They also make the same rocker in a 1.6:1 ratio as well

You could use 2 sets of stock valve covers and make a 1 off set of taller stockers, buy cutting them and rewelding, it wouldn't be very noticeable if done right.

Something like this would fit the bill

direct connection valve covers. They look to provide ample clearance and they look stockish.

Google...Medice mfg valve cover spacers. Made right here in PA USA, by an American.

Those would help. But curious how your gonna hide the Trickflow engravings

I don’t care so much about that, only the savvy will recognize that. I did toy around with the idea of making a block off plate so you can’t see the engraved logo, but I think if they’re painted with stock looking valve covers it will be close enough for me.
That's what I was talkin about, dork.
Oh snaps triple R, I thought you were referring to the cast covers with the fins that have MP plastered all over them.

Nope. I can read pretty well. I saw where you said stock valve covers.

Yeah but if stock doesn't fit I'm okay with a close look alike, especially if its DC stuff.

I had already contemplated the idea of hacking up some stockers and adding a half inch of sheet metal. Only problem is when chroming stuff the finish needs to be like your previous avatars that showcased some of my better work. Doctor assisted, of course.
