1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 only exhaust tips. they reduce down to 1 7/8 to go into tailpipe. They are similar to a 1969 Charger but smaller opening into tailpipe. call/text 860-4168434 or PM here with photos, etc

1970 340 Dart tips are one year only and are NOT like the cuda tips no matter what Accurate limited says... I've been trying to get them to make correct ones for years now.

What is the difference? I only ever saw two types for a body cars.

68-69 Dart, Duster, Demon. Dart Sport were one style.

68-69 Cuda, 70 Dart swinger , were the other

I have both styles here. I don't remember a difference. I always thought the cars with valances in the rear got one style. And the other style was for no valance? I could be wrong can you show me the difference,

I always use b-body style for the larger Diameter but the hanger/ "L" bracket has to be shortened or the hang low. I had Superbee B-body tips on my Duster.

Many years ago at Mopar Nat’s I convinced a man who was making tips out of stainless steel to make exact copies. I think he sold out to newer full exhaust companies and never made again. Bill Rolik found this one in early 90’s in Hawaii on his honeymoon for me!

You are correct. I never noticed that until you posted this . I checked the tips I have to see what they are. They are different The L bracket is shorter and at a different location. Here are pics of Cuda' tips

There was a guy out of Florida that went by Stainless Steel Exhaust Tip Company. He did great work, high quality materials and he made both the 68-9 cuda tips and the 70 Dart tips. When accurate Ltd. ( a company that I dearly love for the quality, inventiveness and correct fit of their pipes) started making the most common tips and mass produced them for a lower cost it put the little guy out of business. The tips that Accurate sells are not correct for a 70 Dart and I thought that the ones that they made were correct for the cudas, but now it turns out that they are not even correct for those!!!! I talked to someone at Accurate in the know and they say they cannot make a box as long as the originals because they cannot get stainless steel pipe the quality of the pipe used by the guy in Florida. A sad state of affairs. I supplied them with a badly rusted original tip when I was at Carlisle a few years ago to use as a "go by" but no change in what they offer.

and yes, Oldmanmopar is correct the location of the L bracket is also different. Of course that is only a problem for those seeking a perfect factory restoration which is what I figured the OP was after...

I learn something everyday with these cars . I have been working on them for at least a year now. I started when I was 17 LOL. There are also things that I have heard they never were . And then you see one ??

When you look up under the back of a Cuda' or Dart or just see the tips laying around without comparing them. You would never know there was a difference. This is why this site is great. Combined knowledge always reveals the correct answer. str12-340 You knew and were confident. end of story. I stand corrected. You-da-man.

There are NO part numbers on tips- you must know what you are looking at! I did not need tips at the time Stainless Steel man was making them but he listened to me and offered the correct 70 tips!

j061093409 - What is the distance from the top edge of the 'square' opening to the close edge of the hanger for the tips you are trying to find?
