I'm not 100% sure about PC but on my phone when I copy and paste it automatically resizes it. I remember years ago on another forum I was on when I used a PC (before smart phones) I had to use a photo app to resize them that maybe what's happening to you now.

Might be that your Cookies and Or Temporary files on your computer are all loaded up, like a thousand of them in there. It's like a monkey on the back of the computer slowing everything down. Get some help from a Pro computer guy to show you how to clean them off, it's pretty easy once someone shows you the pathways to get it done. Then surprisingly, everything works better too.

Also have your computer turned on and online for a half an hour before you try to upload your photos. If you don't use your computer too often, first thing it does when you go online is it goes out and tries to bring in the latest updates from microsoft . . so you are competing with this for internet access . . microsoft usually wins til the updates are ready to install on your machine.

(One of my computers is a Linux System and running the Firefox web browser, about as simple and lean and mean as you can get. Not everyone knows what Linux is or how to get set up.)

One last thing is if you are using Internet Explorer web browser by microsoft it can bring in lots of adds and other crap competing with your online access. Try Firefox web browser my favorite, leaner and better performance, or even Google Chrome. Here again get a little help from a pro to put the new browser on and set it up if you are not familiar with how to do it.

You want a clean, mean, computer machine to get good things done. Also check you internet line speed at Speedtest.net

A fair baseline for line speed to have things work good is:
3 Mbps download speed, and .500 Mbps Upload speed
for sending the pictures up to the internet.

Internet Speed Infrastructure is improving all the time and speeds of at least
5 Mbps down load and 1 Mbps uploads are becoming more common.

My line speeds are:
9.43 Mbps download and 2.92 upload speed, so kind of depends where your location is.
Having good line speed is what does the heavy lifting of moving the photo files over the internet.

Lets say a simple Word Document with some simple text has 100 pixels in size.
An average photo has 1,000 pixels in size so it takes more work to move the photo files, just to help you understand what you are dealing with. Good to have your computer tuned and working well to get the work done.

Hope this helps . . . Like your car photos, Thumbs Up !

OK, now I also see you are using Windows 10 Operating system. If you are using the Microsoft "Edge" web browser that came with your system, you will definitely want to switch to the Firefox browser. That Edge is a big dog bringing in all kinds of things you don't need from the advertisers that are slowing down the performance of web sites you are trying to access.

Also Windows 10 has all kinds of add ons and start up programs running in background slowing you down big time too.

Get your computer guy to do a simple Performance Tune and shut down all that unessesary stuff so you can get up on your feet and get to the good things that you bought your computer for in the first place.

Mopar to Ya . . .

I have had some trouble myself, with posting photos, but did manage to post on my Avatar though, so MAYBE there's hope just yet. ;-)

Hey Bill I did that too quite a while back, but never figured out how I stumbled on to it . LOL

find folder where pics are stored, look in 'pictures' on win 10 or 'downloads' if you grab them from internet or mail pics from phone. Then all you need to to do is hit upload photos at bottom of this post box. mine goes right to the download folder and I see pics in there. just double left click on pic and it will automatically upload to this sites photo hosting portion (Thanks Joey!!) If you want to upload multiple pics, you hold the Ctrl button while single clicking your pics, they will turn blue in win10, then hit "open" at bottom of download folder box. all the pics will upload and then you can hit "full image" at top for huge photos or just hit "post reply" and it will send them out as smaller formattted pics with the option for the viewer to click on them to expand to full size. Sometimes the pics are huge and will throw off the formatting of the site if you "full image" a 24MB camera image (if even allowed).
If you host them or 'steal' them online, you need to go though a few more hoops but it makes the site faster as they are only links to your online pics, not hosted by FABO. Basically, you find a pic on the net and right click on pic. This will bring up an overlay with "copy image" and "copy image address" choices. You can attempt to "copy image" then return to your post and just right click in your post and say "paste". most of the time this works, but if it doesnt, choose "save image address" and you will set up a hyperlink inside your post. You type [I-M-G] then right click and paste your complete image URL and follow it up with another [/-I-M-G] That is the image HTTP code but take out the hyphens. do it a few times and it will become easy. Ill post a screen shot of an example as the board wont allow me to show a syntax correct example. look at first pic and my notes inside it. Notice url of picture on top, and my text in the notepad. It will use that IMG tag and post that pic as I did for the 2nd pic using the same IMG code. Notice the broken IMG tab on bottom for syntax.
