Are these swirl ports?

I can’t find anything on the casting number. 1.88 on the intakes, open chamber. Came off a late 70’s 360. Has the little 1/4” holes under the exhaust runners.

Taking them off for a set of IMM/Indy’s that I have on the way, just wondering what these were.

I’m a little confused, it looks like they share the same casting #?

Wondering what they are? Look the number up like we do. Looking at your photos they don't look like a closed chamber "swirl port" chamber.

If you read post 1 (like the others did), you’ll see I already did and there’s not really any info on them besides a couple vague posts.

I don't see the swirl port combustion chamber.
 
No heart shaped chamber= No swirl port 302 casting 318 308 casting 360 last 3 digits of casting number
 
The swirl port refers to the closed chambered heads.
I have pics give me a second

See I thought the 308’s had a big open chamber, I didn’t realize they had the heart shaped quench
 
I just saw in your original post that you ordered indy heads ignore my last sentence lol
 
From what I’ve read, swirl port refers to the intake port behind the valve and the way the air is channeled through it.

There is only one way to find out.
Pull the valves and look. I may be wrong in my definition of swirl ports!!
I have a set of 302 heads and they dont look like that photo of "swirl port"
 
Actually, nope is not correct. According to Larry Shepard in the MP engine book, "all" of the open chamber heads were indeed swirl port. It's in the book in black and white. They did extensive testing on all of the castings and they found the small block were swirl castings even before the swirl castings came out. It's a fact.

That is interesting. I did not know that. So all small block open chambered heads are swirl ports???
What about closed chambers heads are they swirl ports also??

I don't think they did testing on closed chamber stuff. They had no need for 273 stuff. All of the testing I am aware of was done on the 318/340 and 360 open chamber heads. It wouldn't surprise me if the closed chambers were too, because Chrysler was ahead of the times like that.
