while we are on the subject, there is one member, i forget his name, who has a cartoon girl bouncing under his threads , and what makes it even more annoying is that this person sells a lot (or a little, because he is always bumping his for sale threads)
which means most of the time she shows up, i cant even scroll up or down to get her off my screen because she is everywhere
I didn't even see that one, unless its on my ignore list. I ignore sellers who don't take PayPal so I don't get my Hopes up about an awesome part and can't get it because I am not 90 years old with a checkbook, heck my bank didn't even give me checks.

I can't speak for every woman on here but I can say for myself, I went to auto school and spent time in various auto body and auto repair shops. I know how guys are and I think guys should just be guys. We often love guys for simply being guys.

It's really a case by case basis, because some guys can be a little vulgar and nasty and it makes them cuter and more manly, but there are also guys out there who are just a little vulgar and it makes them look like total asshole creeps who would have to rape a rabid dog to get any female attention.

It just depends.

RRR is one guy who is not creepy, he makes me laugh and is fun. Kinda like Mr. Trump

Yet there are others who joke the same way and look like sleazy used car dealers.

Thanks for your input, but I would like to clarify that I believe the women on this forum can well speak for themselves. However, I was speaking for myself in my opening post, and not trying to defend anyone.

I will have to agree with the notion that the owner and moderators have spelled out the rules and do a good job of enforcing them. I see worse stuff over the air on television and on the street. Protectionism is up to the individual.

I don't condone bouncing boobs and the like but it's life. It happens anywhere. Heck, my infant nephew was all over the well endowed gal at IHOP the other day. It was rather amusing.

Stuff for sale is everywhere too. Walmart is full of stuff for sale. Yard sales. This site is full of stuff for sale.... but let it get posted in the wrong forum and see how quickly it gets moved. Politics are all over the news, TV, newspapers, Utube, but let a political debate get going in the wrong forum and see how fast it gets shut down. But pictures? Suck it up and be a guy! 99% naked women bent over a car, or whatever, deal with it. Don't matter that we have not one but TWO forums for all that want to look. My suggestion was "why can't we treat pictures the same way" ?? Obviously, many agree.

I just didn't see anything wrong with a with a hot girl's butt. Nothing disrespectful about it. Modeling is a multi billion dollar industry. Those girls make a fine living. Nothing to be ashamed about. Neither is the human body.

I guess maybe if you're gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) or a fat or ugly chick (not that there's anything wrong with that) maybe you might be offended. I don't know. I have some gay male friends. They all like the beauty of a woman's body, though. We have some fat ugly chick friends, they all like (though begrudgingly) thin beautiful women too.

I simply saw nothing wrong with the avatar. Girl was fully dressed.....although skimpily. But it's all good. I've had some cool avatars before. This is a cool site and gives us some freedom to have pretty much any avatar we want. I am sure there are still some out there that meet the description of the one I had.

But, since it's caused a problem now for three flippin pages, I'll just leave mine like it is.

It's just like the rest of my few days. I found out some coworkers I thought were friends were not. I resigned my position with O'Reilly because of it. It was fixin to get ugly and I was not going to let that happen. Another coworker and friend was going to lose his job, and I knew I could take the fall for him, so I fell on my sword and resigned. He has a family. All we have is just Kitty and me. They accepted the condition that he stay on with no reprimand if I left, so I did.

Much like here. I thought I had a few people on here I knew were friends. I was incorrect.

A wise man who is also a dear friend once told me "the only people who matter in life are the ones under your roof". He was dang right.

Some of the avatars are nothing different than seen publicly on the beach every day...:usflag:Walmart Too!!

Good luck to you RRR. Good part personnel are indispensable to the repair industry. You will find another line. Hope you don't have to go back to turning wrenches.

I've stated my thoughts, and gave my suggestion. I stick with it, and I apologize for none of it. Joey's decision, my suggestion.
  • Anyone that thinks some of these photos are appropriate, nothing offensive, then start posting your granddaughters dressed topless with hands covering "just a little of the right spot", or your daughters with a piece of yarn sunk in their crack it can't be seen, your wives, after all, it's just every day life. If it's so appropriate, then how about a 11 year old girl in a thong and topless? Yeah, it's what I thought.
  • Joey, do what you want. I meant to offer a suggestion, not a debate. I'm out

Don't think I haven't been watching, cause I have.. Ever since you started this thread...

Here is the thing. It would be very hard to come up with a definition that would work. How do I set the guidelines? It's a hard thing to do, and even harder to enforce. In general, my position is no nudity and no politics. Some people will push those limits. In the end our mods are spending time trying to decide if something pushes the limits too much instead of more pressing things like dealing with people who cannot seem to learn to not comment in for sale ads.

Personally, I don't like censorship. I don't like to subject others to my judgement unless its pretty clear and convincing. Now, I have seen a few avatars and asked the member to change it, but even that is rare and I 'ask' instead of instruct the member to make the change.

That said, what we've been doing for 15 years seems to be working fine, and I'm not terribly inclined to make a change at this time.

If a particular avatar bothers you, you can always ask the member to change it yourself. Perhaps if you ask nicely he'll comply. If not, then you can put that member on ignore so you wont see his posts (and thus his avatar)...

Not a debate but a discussion. You cant bail. Let us discuss this. 11 year old in a thong? where did that come from?

I'll answer you this once. It's appropriate dress and not offensive, right? If it's child ****, then it's adult **** if it's on a 22 year old woman. Nothing to discuss, not bailing. If you wouldn't put your 15 year old daughter in certain positions wearing certain clothes, then you also agree it's inappropriate. It was a suggestion, not a discussion :)

I am going to stay retired like I should have when I was originally hurt on the job. Lots of stuff to do around here all the time and I can spend time with Kitty.

I am sorry if I pushed the boundary. That was not my intention. It was all in good fun like when I post a hot chick in someone's birthday thread......which I will refrain from in the future.

...and yes, had the OP sent a PM and asked me to change it, I would have, same as I already have. Again, my apologies.

Well, somebody along the way has differentiated one being legal and the other not being legal. THAT is the difference.

From scantily clad/suggestive/offensive to child ****? Lord Almighty...
Topless women in public is legal up here by the way.
Oh Happy Birthday!

Oh Happy Birthday!

I thought that was a bit off myself. My mind was not even going that way no how no where. Weird.

Yeah, I dont get it....OP has been here quite a few years, NOW the avatars are too much?
If I walked into a shop that had a nudie calendar that offended me, BUT the shop did excellent work, should I ask them to take the calendar down?
Oh and the "bouncing boob" avatar doesnt show up unless you click on that specific thread.
Warmer weather is here, thank Christ!

RRR, I dont think you have anything to appologize for. Nor do I think you need to altar what you post until mods/admin tell you, youve crossed the line of the established CoC's.
Some people, especially now days, just look for things to be offended by and drag/create drama out of thin air....why?? well, because if they are offended, everyone should be too!
Ive seen nothing on this forum (avitar or post) that I found offensive or inappropriate, in fact, compared to several others forums I belong too, this one is downright tame.

It needs to be noted: There was a time, about 48yrs ago, when my avitar would have been found to be "offensive" by the more church oriented..how about now?
should I now remove mine too..or am I going to hell because of it.
....jeez.

I don't believe you will go to hell for your avatar. No one can tell you.

48 years ago Americans had more morals than today. America is headed for a Godless Society with Islam leading the way.
If you want to bad mouth 318 for having morals you go ahead but he is right. There is the blue thread for a reason.
