You want to make it a gm rear end? LOL. The term posi or psitrack is a gm term, kind of like magnum is Chrysler, vortec is gm....... I think you mean to say you wqnt to add a suregrip (the chrysler term) to it.

Here in CA, we prefer "limited slip differential" as its gender err...brand neutral. Sell it and buy a nova? :drama:

Can ya set it yourself or do you need a shop to do it for you.

If you need a shop then I’d just call dr.diff and but an complete center section ready to go.

If you can do it yourself then find a stick style clutch pack style or go eaton tru trac.

If u go back to the 50s u will see that Chrysler first Thad the vortex, the suburban and a few other words/ terms that Chevy has now. Also Pontiac had Super Duty long b4 Ford ever thought of it. Kim

As a site of information and hobbyist I don't think it should be that way.

That is if we want to keep our exclusivity.
Lets quit flexin your muscles here

If you can...wow

Sure grip, limited slip, Twin Traction, Detroit locker, Cone style, Auburn, Whatever...they're all posi to me...or they're a negative.

Yeah no kiddin. Lighten up Francis. Nobody's flexin muscles. We're just funnin with the guy.

What gear are you currently running? If you are happy with that ratio, you would need to buy a suregrip unit and install it into your pumpkin. If you’d like a more specific gear, your best bet may be to buy a complete center section in the ratio you prefer and swap the whole thing.

I was looking at the Dr Diff complete case third member earlier today.

I have a 741 open and wanted to upgrade to a 3.91 SG.

What is the reason for only offering a 489 case?
