Does anyone know if this is reproduced?
I’m referring to the pin that mounts on the lower steering shift column that trips the reverse light switch when you shift into reverse. I’ve searched previous threads but it’s hard to guess at the keyword that might get me to a thread about it.
 
As a 67 owner, I feel your pain, but I would say no I've never seen this part reproduced. I wish I would had saved my old column when I switched to my floor shift column. It sat in the corner of my garage for a couple of years before I scrapped it. I think your best bet would be find someone with a 67 that did the same as me but didn't trash their column when finished. Good luck!
 
Yeah it’s a tough one. Do you remember how it was attached? Was there a threaded nut inside the shift tube? I don’t even remember if the pin was plastic or metal, I just glanced at it a few times when messing with the switch. Like a dummy I forgot all about it when I was pulling the column so I don’t even know when/where I broke/lost it.
 
19-46-44 is the pin i think. it was used in every mopar column automatic in 67 (probably 68 as well) should be able to find in a wrecking yard. I know of two yards here in CO that have mid 60 mopar. but my understanding is that the pins are one time use pieces so removing one without breaking it might be an issue. I do 3D cad so if someone can get me a good complete one (which I would return) I can reverse engineer it and make a 3D printable file.

I have never had one out but I recall seeing one and it looked like this. In my minds eye it was a new reproduction, white in color. but I'm old so who knows!

That little plastic pin broke on my sister's 68 Valiant and I could not find one either. I bent a flat washer to match the curve of the shift tube and welded that on the tube. Then I welded a metal pin to the washer and that works fine. The first time I (almost) fixed it I welded the pin directly to the shift tube but it came loose so I added the washer. Surely it could not have come loose due to my crappy welding. In the unlikely event I ever need to remove the shift tube from the column I can just grind the weld off.

Good solution. Dana67Dart may be coming up with a way to reproduce the original. It’s these type of small parts that can really hold up a project.

Too long can be shortened. Its too short that causes issues ( that's what she said )
