Trunk extension replacement help

So I'm replacing the trunk extension panels in my 72 demon. How do I remove the brackets that are attached to the extension so I can replace the entire extension and not cut and splice

Find the spot welds and drill them out. A wire brush, good light is your friend here..

This is only attached with spot welds and one bolt?

I did the extensions on my Duster I ended up buying new brackets instead of re-using mine

I was able to get it off with out damaging it.

This is only attached with spot welds and one bolt?

now you know why it got rusty...might be a pain, but maybe keep this updated with pics for those of us that have been lucky enough to never need to do this
