I have been on FABO for only a year or so but just not following what the deal is on this? I have never been inclined to even sign up for the political segment. And I see no way on earth how me being a part of FABO supports any particular political position and or this or that offensive statement in the political chat thread. The folks in the political segment specifically sign up to be there. Not sure which of the responses it was, but if you do not like the content simply do not partake. Seems pretty straightforward to me. I like sticking to gearhead on here but see no reason to vilify someone if they want to talk politics? Some folks talk women, some talk guns, some talk single malts. The common thread in actuality is our love of all things Mopar. Jeez Louis. I am going to pour another drink, pet my dog, squeeze my wife, clean my guns and watch some super good playoff hockey!

There's a simple solution to your problem. Quit your cryin' and opt out. You do have control on that, but fortunately you don't on other's opinions.

i don't see where the problem is.. i've been on this site a long time and have never wanted to go into the political forum. i see where it leads on other sites and can't be bothered with that ****, so i never requested to be in there. i prefer the car related stuff.. see how easy that is. don't like it, don't go there..

Of course, I don't know everything, but here's the problem as I see it.
Let me splain.
Suppose that forum is eliminated.
Where does one post things NOT of political nature but of possible newsworthy, general interest.
You know, like traffic related stories that have cars in them.
Do you want them in General?
Or not at all?
Do you propose strictly car related post?
How would that work and aren't you suggesting something that would be extra work for the Mods if that is what you are saying.
Someone would have to police that.

Maybe the view point of the majority on n & p is slanted toward one political party, but in reality maybe our national news services tend to be also. Just fact anyone can see. Not making this statement to have a discussion of such either.
This FABO is a huge site, it works well, if not broke , lets not try to fix it. Those that don't like it, can always take their toys and play somewhere else?
Our site is set up to help others with their cars, and many times with life in general, keep auto interest stimulated. If someone has NO intrest in slants, they probably do not frequest that area here. Same with n and p.

As the OP has been told (numerous times), if you don't click to view it, ya don't see anything from it. Guests to our community here don't get to casually browse that forum anymore than the Blue Room (of which he has no moral opposition to at all).

Dave, we all disagree at some point on here. People have opinions and they are all different. Sometimes the opinions are STRONG. At the end of the day, or on another forum, the gloves are off, it's over. We are mopar lovers. Can you grasp that?
