Kiddo wanted to help out a bit today. Not ready for paper on the block yet. She turned 4 in April. Last year she almost made me cry when I asked her to id an E body cuda and she did correctly. I’d only taught her A bodies, Roadrunners and Chargers at that point

She insisted in putting all of them in.

Ms. Williams: "Susie, what did you do this summer?" Susie:"I got 2 new Barbies, and made a huge sandcastle for them in my sandbox!" What did you do this summer? ..your kid "I helped dad prep a Barracuda Notchback for paint. Also, my dad says the red paint on your Prious doesn't make it go any faster".

Awesome to get the kids involved! My only gandkid playing with the press crushing beer cans with grandpa, lol..his mom probably wouldn't have approved. :)

Everyone who puts a tool in their child’s or grandchild’s hands when they want to help is a winner in my book.
I am an aerospace engineer with a college degree in Chemistry. We have college and high school summer interns join us when school is on vacation. I have encountered too many students who are great in academics but who have no mechanical experience at all. My colleagues and I rate and evaluate each student at the end of summer. We always offer a job to the college interns who demonstrate a mechanical aptitude as well as good grades. We also track the high school students who show an interest in learning to use the mechanical side of the brain.

Good job to all you parents and grandparents who get the young ones involved.

The company I work for also has quite a few interns, most are in college working on engineering degrees.
The company just hired one guy who interned for a couple of years, sharp kid.
Our company does the entrance interview, but also does an exit interview.
The founder of the company is big on education, we do a lot of STEM programs throughout the year for high school and grade school kids.
My granddaughter went to one this year. The only day she missed school.
