Buddy Brian stopped by last night to help me hang the fenders back on, carefully so as to not gouge the paint on the doors. Need to go around now and line everything up so things fit proper and the body lines line up well.

Here is a D100 advertisement from back in the day, same color truck. Kind of a different color, and I like it also. Color name is Russet.

I'm not as ambitious as a lot of you guys, but I did get my shroud on. Had to trim the flanges where the shroud mounting clips were supposed to go on the new radiator. Trying to work the dremel tool's cutoff wheel was a challenge for this old blind guy.

Painted my junkyard rims and put some new tires on the old girl. First time in almost 45 years it’s had new tires on it. Of course I’m saving the old tires and the original rims, but I couldn’t bring myself to go white sidewall like it came with!

Made a mounting bracket for my ALLEGED cigarette lighter replacement USB charger. It is much too big to fit in the dash in the lighter hole, and I am NOT cutting up my dash for it.

I used some scrap carbon from work. It looks to be four layers of 5.7oz carbon cloth, but I'd have to measure it to make sure, and I will have to wait till Tuesday to do that. (If I remember).

I'll probably mount it and wire it up tomorrow. Just waiting on my smaller alternator pulley to arrive.

I think I paid around $15 on Amazon. It's a pretty cool little product.

I used the one without the voltmeter.
Came out great, just opened up the hole for the cigarette lighter a little bit.

Redid the PCV system yesterday. Previous owner had two breathers and a PCV valve. Removed one breather and installed the correct grommets in the Mopar Performance valve covers.

Today? Well, today she had a professional video/photo shoot.

Working on cleaning up the paint on this rainy day. Also, with the help of a few suggestions on the FB B body forum, I was able to remove the spilled house paint on the hood and qtr panel! Pretty happy with the results so far!

I've had they same Husky you've got in the back ground for about 10 years now, never had any problem with it, I just change the oil once a year. I wouldnt mind a bigger one tho, BadAss Quincy, $$
I work with big Quincy’s all day long with my job (350 hp monsters) had to take advantage to get the 15+ cfm.
 
Just did a little noodling around today.
  • Adjusted the steering column, rotated it left so I could put the car in park, and it would engage park without having to really crank on the shift lever and then only go click click click and let the car roll.

  • Rotated the steering wheel to the right by a few teeth because it's been irritatingly turned so one of the arms always blocked my view of the right side instruments when I am driving straight.

  • Hammered down the rolled pin for the shift lever. It's been sticking up for a while and has been a minor irritant.

  • Removed the ratty old shoulder harnesses, in preparation for a new set of shoulder harnesses. I am still trying to find the original post that pointed me in this direction. Regarding the copycat thread, I'm copycatting @harrisonm here. I can't find the thread, but he does mention it here. What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today? 1968-70 Mopar A Body, 3-Point Conversion Seat Belts, Bucket (The kit was like $250. It won't match now, but I think I am going to be going with red belts.)

  • Removed the disintegrating sun visors.

  • Fixed the rear view's propensity to flop all about. I am probably going to just get one of those five panel rear view mirrors since the visors are out.

  • Installed my little USB charger and voltage meter. Going to have to wire it up to the accessory, right there in the picture, it's just plugged into the cig lighter.

  • Checked the flasher in the emergency flashers plug, the only light that flashes is the front left lamp.
  • Checked the passenger courtesy light, the bulb is burnt out. (I am probably just going to redo all the interior lighting with a LOT of white light LEDs when I put in the new wiring kit)
  • Secured the fuse block back in place.
  • Noticed torn air ducting for defroster, gotta get that paper **** replaced.
  • Noticed the fucked up wires in the firewall pass-through block, and some other wiring. (Now I'm REALLY going to have to get the damn jeep running so I can install my Ron Francis XP-777 wiring kit.
