Well been hard at it lately...got the frame rails cut out and replaced...switched out the carb and got it running much better, put in a new fuel sending unit while I had the tank out to do the frame rails. Cleaned up the trunk gutters and bottom of trunk lid. Got the little work that the hood needed done. Got a little bit of work left to do on the underside of rockers and then should be ready to primer....cant wait!!! Then let the blocking begin!!! If anybody is bored I have all kinds of durablocks you can use and help!! Lol!!

Nice progress. Are you interested in selling the original air filter you had on it?

Very Nice. You may have posted this, but what are you using for paint? Thanks. sgrip65
I only use ppg products. This is actually some 20 yr old acrylic enamel I'm using just to jam it out. I will be doing base, clear on the body.

Feeling a little under the weather today...some sort of sinus thing going on but have managed to get it bolted together and started to block sand....felt like **** so called it a day already....hope this goes away as fast as it came on.

I used PPG base coat clear coat on my 66 and my 65. Nearly have to sell the farm....anymore. Lots of cash, but it surely does a nice job. I use SATA guns, and they work well. Nice work. sgrip65

All body supplies are expensive...I dont think most people understand how much money it takes to do this stuff...buy a roll of D.A. pads or roll of sticky back sandpaper!!! Good stuff costs almost as much as the paint by the time you have stripped the car...block it at least twice, then wet sanding before and after paint...lots of paper!! Sure is an awesome feeling though when you step back when finished and know YOU did that!!! And even though its expensive, it's a fraction of what somebody would charge you to do it..

Indeed, PPG is nice stuff, and it is easy to work with. I used the K-36 primer surfacer, and it sands like butter. Absolutely, you are correct...like anything else, the best cost the bucks....but worth it. Off track on your thread, just my opinion in agreement. Again, nice work. sgrip65

Got out tonight a got some blocking in, still feel like **** but got to power through this sinus thing...starting to loose my voice...told my wife she will be happy my voice is gone..lol

Been blocking like crazy!!! Everything is sanded and skimmed and sanded and skimmed

No new pictures but I'm calling ready to put the last round of primer on and, start wet sanding...hopefully have some color on here in a couple weeks if all goes well....keep your fingers crossed...lol

Should be the last round of primer....I couldn't get any of you lazy bastards over to block sand so, maybe wet sanding??? LMAO!!!
